There was traffic jam we decided to wait it out and hit a local restaurant that was kid friendly yet served a cold brewsky this place was quite the surprise. We were expecting meh and we got mehazing. Seafood was fresh, beer was delish and the deep fried stuff was magic. Not a typical greasy dive.
Great service even though they were totally swamped when we went in to eat on the 4th of July holiday yesterday! I personally had the bacon cheeseburger, and it was AMAZING! One of the best burgers I've had in quite some time!
Took a trip to the coast last week in November. I stopped by this great restaurant mid afternoon. I ordered some fresh deep fried oysters Mmm I love them. I also ordered fried pickles and double cheeseburger. Great food I love to travel in the winter. Cant forget about great service she was the best I can’t wait to go back later on this winter.
Cute little place. The food and service was excellent! Heather made sure that my little guy was taken care of and he absolutely loved her. We had lunch and dinner there!
Passing through on July 4th Holiday so many places were closed but I'm glad we found this gem open and serving guests! The staff were friendly and the service was fast! The fried portions were perfectly golden brown and delicious! I recommend the Fiesta Poppers, not too hot in the heat level but a very good change up using red peppers and whatever creamy delicious goodness that's inside!
We also ordered the Club Sandwich and Lakeside Philly served with a huge portion of Au Jus! Very delicious 😋
Great little joint, we love it for karaoke and the drinks. But we’ve been recently for lunch and the burger and fries are delicious! Great deal, too, $13 for a pile of food! Fresh and crispy fries, double stack burger, cold cider, perfection! Super nice bartenders, Lauren and Heather.
I loved the resto even it's slightly far from downtown. We enjoyed our lunch and had a great time. It's not so crowded in the late afternoon and have a lot of space probably it will be full at night bcoz of the karaoke night.
My first reaction here (about the first 20 minutes) was not a good one for a few reasons. But when one of the staff approached me to address my concerns their only reaction was "can I fix this for you?" Where she then brought me a fresh full portion of my meal. Completely turned my experience 180 where they just put their best customer service foot forward. Well done all around.

Heather gives great service, friendly and welcoming! She kept on top of all of our requests even though she was busy the entire time we were here. Hideaway never disappoints with their clam chowder!! Husband loves the Club. Good oyster shooters. Yummy tots, fries, and fried pickles. We come a few times a year when we visit and it’s always great food and service.
Amazing service by the bartender Heather food's always amazing the fry oil must be replaced pretty often because it tastes pretty good. It's a local bar going there often enough they'll take real good care of you.
We really enjoy this place. Been here a few times this year. Lauren took care of us last night and we had a wonderful time. Good hot food, and the gals work hard to keep up when it gets busy- be kind to them and they will take good care of you! Thank you cooks for tasty hot food and thank you front staff ladies. Great phillys, onion rings, really good clam chowder bread bowls (highly recommended), fried fresh oysters, fresh salads, burgers, cold beer (including one of my favorites Dead Guy Ale from Rogue) Fun but low key and calm adult side area with pool tables and bar. Good family side with TVs and pleasant music on. One of my fav Rockaway places just a quick 1/2 mile from the sometimes too busy ‘downtown’ Rockaway. Be patient if its busy, have a beer or wine, and have a good time!
Really fast service double oysters lemon juice squeezed amazing taste best place bar-wise to get oysters knock away. Strong drinks worth your money this is the bar I will always go to in Rockaway thank you Heather!
