Friendly staff and very helpful too. The meat counter staff were excellent and very knowledgeable. My 4 year old niece, and her Dad know the staff, but anyone could understand that this interaction was normal with the staff and customer service. The man cutting the deli order had my niece very happy with her 25 cent treat too.
This is by far the best meat market in the city. They get their meats from the south and if they don't have what you are looking for for that incoming date they will make it a special order. They sell bone in bacon, ground sausage, fresh oxtails. This place has great prices, is cleanly and doesn't smell like a meat market, they have groceries and a sub deli. When I shop, this is always my first stop since I discovered it... I intend to remain a loyal regular customer.
This is a no-frills and completely awesome store. If you are looking for an old school, effective environment or if you are from the south and miss some of the items that were readily available there but not so much here or if you simply want to try some down south cuisine, then this is the spot for you. No bells and whistles.... an awesome deli section with hard to find items and just a good place in general.
Very well maintained fresh meat local and southern. Highly recommended for one stop or groceries all in one.! I love the staff good customer relations. A caring neighborhood friendly environment....
There prices are reasonable and the meats are freshly cut. They sell real country smoke meat such as country ham, smoke bacon and smoke sausage which I love.

Nice and friendly. Specialty Southern type meat available. And Southern type vegetables. Really need to change their smoke alarm battery.
I took my sister to get her some meats from Mr Doug's reasonable prices were on the other side of town but she love going to Mr.Doug's it's an pretty good place 😊😊
The service is good and friendly. They have Southern Smoked Sausage and the other southern meats and southern vegetables. They also sell shelled pecans.
All southern meats...loved them better when they were located on west side....east side to far and far toooo busy for me
