If only I could post the pictures of how big the pepper steak is in the meal🤤🤯. It's not small pieces of cut up steak bits. No. This is dam near whole pieces of chuck steak, thick, tender and seasoned to perfection. Not even about to get started on the oxtails. No Jamaican cuisine in Rochester amounts to the value and portion size of This Is It. Ijs🙏🏾💪🏾😤💯🦍

Their food is generally good all the time. Expect on Sundays they do soul food and either runs out, hasn't cooked, or just does not have any fried chicken. How can you have soul food Sunday and no fried chicken. This has happened to me at least 4 times so I had to find another place.

The oxtails were so good I ate some there and took some to go. The curry goat was amazing! Loved everything about this place! The food, the people, the music, the whole vibe just made me feel right at home.

I go to this restaurant because it is around the corner from where I live and I agree they do have really good food and deserts. Only thing I wish is that they treat there customers like they treat family and friends and what I mean by that is I order oxtail dinners no matter the size and they barely put meat in my meals leaving me disappointed. I've seen others that they know very well and countless oxtails. No matter who your customers is satisfaction is the key😊

It was the best I've had in a long time. Syracuse Jamaican restaurant's need to take lessons from This Is It because Jamerican needs help bad and the one on state st needs to start all over, meaning close it down and cook it from your heart not just for money. This Is It..... yes it is. Good food.

It's the closest Jamaican restaurant to the home cooked meals my mom would make. If they are out of a specific meal, the staff are mindful to have more prepared. Customers are always satisfied.

I have dined at a number of West Indian spots in Rochester. This is one of the best, perhaps the best. When I went, I had: pepper steak, yams and oxtails. They were all on point, especially the pepper steak. Doesn't matter where you are from, you will appreciate "This is it." Come out and support a good business.
