Really nice place. we are their situated as a part of Rochester New York that really needed a facelift, and this little restaurants definitely doing their part. The staff are wonderful and the food is really top notch. Be prepared for more than ample servings though, I had one of their burritos and it was as huge as it was delicious. Even the staff were a little astonished that I finished the serving.

Great food, best Mexican food I've had. The portuons are HUGE. Many places sacrifice taste for quantity, but not El Sauza. The mango margarita was very good too.

HUGE portions! Delicious, very flavorful food. Had the fajita taco salad, guacamole & queso dip. My family shared a couple of veggie meals.

Best Mexican in Rochester for sure. Real, authentic, not Americanized. Definitely one of my favorites, never disappoints. Always very fast with the food, and generous portions for the price. The xango and flan for dessert are both delicious

Went here with my daughter and granddaughter. Loved everything. Service was great. Food was fabulous. Prices weren't bad. And they include a cool tip tally at the end of your bill so you don't have to figure out the tip off the top of your head. I got enchiladas with beans and rice. Yum.

This is not your chain want-to-be Mexican restaurant. This was a first time visit and what a great surprise! Very authentic. Run by a wonderful Mexican couple. We felt like we were eating at someone's home. In addition to usual offerings on the menu, they also have some house specialties and dinners. The churichanga was with chirizo and beans, lightly fried and topped with a light cheese sauce, served with Mexican rice and a small green salad. My chili pablano was stuffed with cheese with a very tasty enchilada sauce & was prepared perfectly. The cheese enchilada also was very good. Served with Mexican rice and refried beans. The complimentary chips very light and the salsa fresh. Mexican sodas available (my fave: Tamarindo) The decor is very homey. We felt like we were eating at someone's home in Mexico. This was a most enjoyable meal. We were so glad we made the spur of the moment decision to stop in El Sauza for dinner.

At first glance I wasn't too sure this was the place. When we got inside the bright colored walls and traditional decorations reminded me of home. A spotless table and a warm welcome drew me toward the menu. We were greeted and seated followed by some hot chips and salsa. The main course was the star of the show. Though a bit cold for the hot meal I was expecting the mixed tastes and textures warmed my insides. Thank you for the memorable meal and a home away from El Sauza Mexican Restaurant. I will definitely be back when I return to the city of Rochester.

Already love this place! Food AND service were great!! Got the "Don Mayo" and it was really good (deep fried tortillas with carnitas, salsa, quest, and sour cream). The portions are a lot.

I went to El Sauza for the first time today to check it out. The staff was friendly and attentive and the food is delicious. The chips are freshly made and the salsa is addictive. Huge portions. I'll definitely be back.
