I've tried almost all of their unflavored beans and I am pleased every time. I especially like their Guatemalan batch.
They also give you a free cup of coffee when you buy a pound or more and the staff is always very friendly.

If you haven't been to Union Place Coffee Roasters yet you seriously owe it to yourself to swing by. All roasting and flavorings are done in-house artisan small batch. Pick up a pound or two of coffee, enjoy a cup while you wait. Everybody who works there lives the coffee life, and they would really enjoy helping you choose the coffee that's right for you. Enjoy! Do you have an espresso machine? This is the last place you will ever need to find coffee. Do you brew coffee in any other way and live within a 20-minute Drive? You need this place. They only sell the freshest coffee. Every cup is insanely good. The staff are so friendly and it has the most amazing local shop feel. They also have some very affordable Burr Grinders available right in the shop. Highly recommend.

In my humble opinion, the best French Roast Colombian in the world! I bring home the whole beans, and jam many grounds that will fit in the filter basket. Since I live an hour away, if I run out of their coffee, I am not happy.

Amazing local roasters! Excellent selection of flavored and more typical roasts with large variety and depth. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable and will offer you a free cup of whatever their daily brew is! This is the best coffee place you could ever find. We got some for Christmas and loved it. The snickerdoodle decaf was amazing and bananas foster is our new favorite. They roast it on site in small batches. The people that run the store are so kind and friendly and the coffee on hand when you go in to get your ground bags gives you a chance to try different flavors. I typically put creamer and sweeteners in my coffee (a lot). This coffee is roasted so well I can drink it black. If you like coffee and haven't been here you have to go!!! ❤️

I have owned a coffee house and have been drinking espresso starting in the 80's. Let's say I know good coffee lol. Now this is GOOD coffee, and the service, AMAZING! I spent about 30 min in a shop about the size of a large living room. Why? Because the variety and selection was out of this world, the staff was friendly, helpful, educating and truly cared about you. I was amazed to see the roster right in the shop out in the open and up & running. I watched as a new customer came in and was greeted, asked about needs, educated on choices, offered samples & helped to make selections. It was done so well I just had to watch. My wife was asking about a variety and was offered a cup to sample. The owner made up a lot just so we could try it out! I also watched coffee go from the roster right in to the bins for sale. You can not get fresher than that! I only wish I lived in Rockester now but was happy to see they will ship also :-)

Their space is classy, yet cozy and features retail coffee and upscale coffee merchandise and accessories. You can sit and enjoy their amazing coffee at their tables or comfy chairs and even watch the roasting process while you’re there.
If you’re in the Genesee Market area do yourself a favor and pop in.

Excellent cafe! The shop has a great feel and smells amazing! It took me a while to actually go in because I'm not a huge coffee drinker but their coffee is very good and their lemonade drinks are great for beating the summer heat! Laurie and Nick are more like hosts than baristas but do a great job as both! Definitely will return whenever I'm in the area!

This place is great! Owners and staff are always friendly and attentive. Their coffee is delicious and the only kind we use in our house. We have tried many of their different beans, including flavored, and truly love the Breakfast Blend and the Brazilian Full City Roast. This is a difficult time for everyone, please consider buying local when you need coffee (don't buy it from the big chain stores), support the small businesses if you can and visit Union Place Coffee Roasters!
