Super Americanized sushi, but that doesn't mean it's not delicious! They always deliver good sushi. I've never had a bad experience here. It might be a good place to take someone who is not sold on sushi because it's raw fish. You could have them easily try some of the rolls here that have the Dinosaur BBQ sauce (it's shrimp tempura, if I'm not mistaken). Not only that, you won't be disappointed by their food either. They have great deals like the Emperor's Feast where you get 10 pieces of sushi (usually two of five types of fish, but it doesn't have to be this way if you request differently) and 2 different rolls. You can state which kind of fish you like the most and they do a great job of accommodating it.
I'd really recommend the Crab Rangoon roll, the Mistletoe Roll, Cinema Roll, Dancing Diablo roll, and even their Philadelphia roll (normally I don't like smoked salmon). Unfortunately I only have pictures of a dessert roll that my fianceé and I got.
Pro-tip: they constantly have Groupons. Use them. They're great deals and you'll load up on sushi!
Big hair host kid seemed a little out of it, not exactly a Shining bubbly personality, regardless, sat at the bar, got prompt service the 14.99 in a bowl is always great, miso soup was awesome. Love going here for sushi.

Great selection of rolls, helpful and accommodating staff made for an amazing meal! Best roll so far is the "Bat-out-of-hell" rotating special. Best sushi in Rochester!
Some of the best sashimi I've had. I had found a deal on Groupon, which they were able to use very easily and quickly. And I ordered the dinner sashimi platter, which comes on a wood board and consists of several varieties of raw fish, shrimp, ginger, wasabi, a yummy lettuce with dressing and seaweed pasta sort of dish. It was delicious! Every morsel and bit was delicately made and arranged on the platter with delightful and fresh flavors. The waiter was also very friendly, asked me if I'd like to sit indoors or outside, and provided prompt service. I would definitely go back to this place. They had nice outdoor seating in a sort of courtyard as well with other restaurants around and a water fountain off to the side. Lovely for a sunny summer day and very satisfying!
P. S. There are a couple of the fried pieces missing in the picture because I couldn't wait to taste. Haha
Always a great meal! Prepareared perfectly! Groupon offers a discount also, you can't go wrong. If you're looking for good, simple sushi, look no further.
Love this place. Food was delicious. Had Wasabi Dumplings for an appetizer. Was really impressed with the South Wedge Roll
Very nice place, they have weekly specials. Good portions and friendly staff. Service could be faster but thatsl doesn't harm the experience.
Sunday special, 3 rolls for $15.49 was perfect for a first-time experience.
Best place to go for sushi in Rochester. Food is always outstanding and we always seem to order more than we can eat at one time!
A long wait for a table for our group of 6. Ended up at two tables. Once we ordered the food came quickly and was very good. Service was good and attentive. Will go again when I am in town. Fresh sushi with lots of options!
