I have to amend our post from 3 years ago because the service has unfortunately gone downhill. We visited on an evening when there were no other customers and when we entered the young man was on his Ipad and didn't even look up for at least a minute. We waited patiently, since he knew we were there, and when he finally looked up he didn't say a word - just stared at us. Evidently "hello" or "can I help you" are beyond his customer interaction ability. We make our orders and he still never says a word. So I ask him if they might have pumpkin flavor again this season since there was none that night. He stares at me and says "not tonight". The only words he spoke and they seemed intentionally to not answer my question.
Usually the staff are good, but sometimes not so much, and every experience we have had with this person has been unpleasant. Fortunately an alternative ice cream shop has opened nearby. So far the staff there have been very pleasant every time we have visited. They even know how to smile and be courteous.
We LOVE this Abbott's location. It has done a wonderful job serving central Brighton for several years with great Abbott's quality. We visit often throughout the season and the staff are always courteous and efficient. Try a Flurry if you want a special treat.

This is a cool little Abbots tucked in the corner of 12 corners. Parking lot chairs. Very chill vibe. Go late.

Best Custard I've ever had! Closest thing to soft serve ice cream you can get as far as I know. Some of our favorites are: Cake Batter, Cotton Candy, Black Raspberry, Almond Joy, and Butterscotch. The staff and owner are extremely nice and if there's a flavor you want, let them know ahead of time and they're happy to make some pints up for you! Thanks Brighton for this treasure!
Can you ever go wrong with Abbott’s? Though they don’t seem to be producing as many flavors as when I was a kid (coffee flavor!) you can never go wrong with vanilla in a waffle cone with chocolate sprinkles. There is a reason Abbott’s has been in business in the Rochester area for so long. If you haven’t tried their frozen custard put it on your to do list for this summer!!!
