Recently was in town for a work trip and this is one of the first places I got food from. Grannies stew was delicious. I came back for the wings the following week. Regulars were welcoming. Very friendly service that suggested lots of fun stuff in the area. I will definitely return when I visit again.
Best chicken wings on the planet. Always something cool happening. Live music, trivia contests, food and drink discounts, etc. Great staff too. I've visited Rochester several times a year over the past decade. A stop at Temple Bar and Grill is a must!!! … More
I would like to start with a special shout-out to the Bar Managers Triston & Dylan. They really are the stars of the show here.
When I walked in I was immediately greeted in a very welcoming manner. I found my seat at the bar and was handed a food menu, coaster, glass of water, hand sanitizer, and given some time to decide if, and what, I wanted to drink.
I ordered some chicken wings, fried hard, and some fries (my usual bar food). Without a second thought Dylan brought over some ketchup, napkins, and utensils well within 60 seconds of my order, and my food came shortly thereafter.
Triston made me a delicious "Spicy Margarita" that rivals even the best of cocktails. I don't know what made it spicy, but it definitely had a nice kick to it.
Food was delicious, service was amazing, and I had a great time in the atmosphere of the bar while watching the game. I hear that Tuesday is Taco Trivia night, so I will definitely be returning to experience that.
Thank you, guys!
This was my first time here. Some of my colleagues found this spot and we "claimed" the outside area. I had the personal pizza and chicken wings. I ended up taking it home and it was delicious on the second day. Definitely a place to visit again.
Was casually walking through the neighborhood and stumbled upon this place. I thought it was just a regular ol’ bar with typical bar food, but it wasn’t; the menu is extensive.
The weather was beautiful so I decided to eat outside (you can eat inside, as well). The bartender was great. She checked on me – and other customers that were eating outside – several times. The food was good; I had chili, boneless wings, and a side salad. There are a couple of bar games inside, and they have several tv’s surrounding the bar, so you won’t miss a game.
Temple gets two thumbs up!
Impressions on my first visit: I went to several restaurants on East Avenue to scout out some place my girlfriends and I could go for a bite and drinks before a show that would be on a Sunday afternoon at the Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre. It was three o'clock on a Thursday afternoon, and there were about 15 or 20 people there, all eating meals. A few were having drinks but mostly people were there to eat. A nice crowd, college students, business professionals, some people with laptops, some just chatting. Blues-y music, lively but not overly loud. I ordered the Jambalaya, which the menu listed as a house specialty, and came with homemade corn bread. It was $12.99, I think, and at first I thought the price was steep but it was not -- it was a VERY hearty portion and delicious and well worth it! Chock-full of shrimp, chicken, sausage and vegetables; all in right-sized pieces, and some nice heat, but not overly spicy and just the right amount of rice. The chef came out and said it was his (great aunt's?) recipe, straight from the French Quarter. It was divine, and I'll be back!
Friendly little neighborhood bar right downtown. Pretty good food and beer, I haven't had a mixed drink here. All sorts of customers young, old, black, white, etc. Irish music sometimes that can be a bit in your face due to the layout and size of the business.

Daily specials, friendly atmosphere and general good vibes plus Dylan is an ace bartender
Outstanding food, service and drinks. Unsuspecting awesomeness. Recommended and will be back! Jay Lynn, hell of a bloody mary young lady, you rock
First beer was flat, and they replaced it with an alternative right away. It's a dive bar (no offense meant, I love them), just unfortunately not one I'd go to again.
