I've been a customer here for a few years and this restaurant never disappoints me. I typically get a large combo with yellow rice and beans, pork and cabbage. It's fast, friendly and affordable. Love this place.

A family owned restaurant right next to the airport in Rochester. This restaurant will become a regular stop for me. I visited a 2nd time for lunch. The food is authentic. It’s very good. You will feel full after eating. The rice and meat will settle in and your ready for a nap.

OMG! I really can't say enough.. In all my travels and Many many Spanish restaurants.. This place is THE BEST! Since I travel and have little time to sit and eat, what matters to me is price and over all food quality. I found it.. Where to start??! I had a small pork shoulder and yellow rice with beans on top meal.. WONDERFUL.. tastes like old school grandparents cooking! Meat was flavorful, well cooked and moist. rice was soft and delicious and beans also! More than a staff just two; the food is well kept fresh and made to look beautiful! Everything looked high quality as you can tell the staff was conscious and concerned with appearance. I also had their piña colada drink which was TO DIE FOR!! That is the best I can describe it! AND for dessert.. tres leches cake... What to say about it?.. Ummmm please mail this cake to me once a day 🤣🤣🍰🎂❤️❤️❤️ Over all: the establishment is small but nice, their staff was busy, but not rude, their prices was reasonable to great and given the quality and flavor of their food.. Totally worth every penny from purchasing to even travel.. 6 stars.. Best Spanish restaurant yet.. A MUST GO!

Excellent food and very friendly staff we enjoyed the oxtails and hog maws with the yellow rice and beans with their cabbage and homemade hot sauce on the side. The hot sauce was great also I would definitely come back!!!!

Food is good. Service is okay. Environment does not have a good dine in area. Restaurant has a few tables but they are very close to the people ordering. Great for takeout filling portions.

Takeout Restaurant with excellent fresh Spanish food. El Latino is one of our family favorites that we enjoy at least once a month. Get the Pernil with yellow rice and beans. Fresh made tostones and TresLeche cake. The cake is the best in town, delicious. They also make fresh juices, I recommend the mango juice. Love this place.

Delicious food! Stewed pork with rice/beans & steamed cabbage was amazing. Tres leches cake was great, too. Plan to go there to get in line, then call and place your order. There will be a wait, but it's worth it!

I was not impressed! 1st time visiting and definitely the last. They lack customer service. Didn't get any type of greeting, or an I'll be right with you. There were 2 workers attending 1 person for 1 meal. Waited a good 7 minutes without any acknowledgement. My Mangu had no flavor, while the pernil was decent. My friends rice was so orange, you would think they used Donald Trump rub. Smh. She was not impressed either. I'll stick to my own cooking and the restaurant on Norton/North

The line is always to the door. Love <3 they take of any police, fireman or emergency personal first if they come in. don't really care they aren't personal as I'm there for great food not to have a conversation, just wish they would switch gloves after handling the filthy, germ ridden money.

This place has been around for a few years now but very disappointed. These prices continue to go up and up. You used to be able to get beans at no extra charge now you have to pay an extra $1. Sorry but yes your food is good but turning quite a few of us way who have been coming since you opened and see how much of a mark up on the food! you cant tellme food costs have skyrocketed that much. Your just taking advantage that you became popular and are jacking your prices up. very disappointed today i had to pay 6.75 for a small. wont be coming back there are other spanish restuaruatns just as good.

I worked near El Latino's and would fight the urge to go there every day. Of course a few of us went there many times! It's the best. We will have to make a trip to NY from SC to get their good food unless they can open a store in Myrtle Beach!! We would be there at least once a week!

OMG this Puerto Rican food is soooooooo fantastic! My friend picked up Empanadas, potato balls, Tostannos, pork ( tender and juicy) and rice and beans! The four of us were so satisfied and it was delicious that I will definitely will be returning. Continue doing what your doing and I plan on letting my friends and co- workers know about this place!

Was terrible. Today I bought three chicken and rice meals and everything tasted terrible with an odd smell.. The food was barely warm when I got it home (less than a mile). Normally this place has excellent food. I've been going there for about 4 years This is the first time it was terrible.

El Latino Muy Bueno. I feel a deep sense of shame and embarrassment for not going to El Latino sooner. This place is totally awesome. The food is deliciously spiced... not too spicy mind you, just right. Even the rice and beans are amazing. The cabbage kicks major butt and the chicken and pork dishes are unbelievably satisfying. El Latino gives you a huge meal for a small price... it's so satisfying after a long day of work or play. Go to El Latino now! End of discussion.

I'm hooked on El Latino. If you do not try El Latino, you are missing out on of the BEST meals available in Rochester. This place has given me a happy satisfied feeling each time I visited. The quality of the food is amazing. The prices are great. Great portions, fast service and a Nice family environment. There is a good vibe to this place. I have never had a bad meal there. They have catered my baby shower and my daughters first bday and her soon to be second. The food is so always on point. The rice us never dry or to soggy. The staff is always pleasant. I would recommend them to any one.

Unclean, greasy food. This whole business is pretty gross. Food is not all under $10. Some costs about 50 percent more than that. My biggest criticism is that the clientele is a little, shall we say...sketchy. Also, the food itself is a mess. It is out in the open and handled in a way I find questionable. I agree with a previous commenter that it is suspect how this is rated so highly here. My assessment in a word - yuck!

Lots of Food. The food here was terrific and plentiful. I got a large combo of Ox Tail and Pork shoulder. They were both tasty. The Pork shoulder was moist and delicious and topped off with some crunchy skin. The yellow rice was very good with the beans over the top. The large also came with Cabbage and sweet plantains. The only negative so far is that they only have Franks Red hot for hot sauce.

I go here at least twice a week. It was recommended to me by a co-worker n now I'm obssessed! Great, homemade food at reasonable prices and it lasts me about three to four meals. BEST LATIN FOOD IN TOWN. This is a Dominican family owned restaurant. Nice clean place, excellent food and service. The best are the prices; it's a real good deal. One large plate serves two. They have empanadas, plantains, bolas de papa, carne guisada, pollo asado, pernil, etc. Natural juices, not spicy food, not Mexican. Just homemade, real "Latin food". We really recommended, we go every time, we drive into the city.

Food Prepared with Artistry and Cultural Pride. When I ordered the Ensalada de Camarones (Shrimp Salad) I thought I had picked the simplest dish on the menu. I was envisioning a large amount of lettuce and a handful of shrimp. It turned out that I had chosen the most intricate: finely chopped cilantro, slices of avocado and tomatoes and at least a dozen shrimp on a bed of lettuce. It was prepared with artistry. My "bad" turned out to be "good." The pernil (pork shoulder) and pollo guisado (stewed chicken) are Dominican staples but were off-limits because it was Ash Wednesday! I did take home the Spanish pasta with pieces of chicken breast to enjoy the next day. Portions are generous and service is courteous.

Food for every taste. The main entrees are tastefully displayed in a case and the staff will identify those which non-Latino aren't familiar with. For my very first visit, I played it safe and had pork chops, rice and beans, and cabbage salad. Everything was delicious and the portion (I ordered medium for $7.60) was huge for the price. I'll be going back at lunch soon for my favorite - Cuban sandwiches. A year+ since my original review, El Latino continues to be a place for tasty food and generous portions. They take baked chicken to a new level and the chicken empanadas are competition for Juan and Maria. Again, service is always patient and friendly as they explain the daily choices.
