Roux - Rochester - Photo album

“Simple” food done really well, but not worth putting up with the poor service (curt and neglectful). The onion soup was among the best I’ve tried. The vegetables are treated with respect, lifted up to be the stars instead of being relegated to a side dish.
Great food and great experience! Service was awesome, the ambiance was on-point and the food/cocktails matched. Although unexpected, the burgers were some of the best in the area. Steak, chicken, and desserts were amazing. Highly recommend for a great experience, and subtle French vibe.
We liked the atmosphere and, before it got busy, the service. Got a little slow when it was busy and took a little bit to get the last item and check. But! Very lovely and delicious.
What a lovely brunch! We had a cocktail and a specialty coffee drink, both of which were perfect. We had the Camambert as an appetizer. I’d expected plain melted Camambert with some accoutrements, but the Camambert was soft with an amazing jellied fig spread with an excellent balance of fresh herbs
Somehow I’ve managed to never visit Roux before- I realized tonight that’s been a tremendous loss. Briefly- this place is excellent on all fronts and certainly worth a visit! Service was efficient, kind, and very helpful- I really like when the staff can provide their own personal recommendations.
Duck was very good. Mussels were yummy. The garlic and ricotta toast was a very nice start. If you like burbon and coffee, you have to try the cafe social!
Really good food, nice ambience and cool cocktail drinks!
Lovely little bistro, great ambience, our brunch service was very good. Food was quite nice but a few issues: the "waffle sammie" is not a sammie, must be eaten with knife and fork - but very tasty. The "hash" was not prepared as a classic hash but was very good vegetable preparation. As long as
Great French bistro food. Space can get cramped and loud, but not unexpected for the size of the place and the French vibe. Not sure if they were short or not, but our server seemed a little rushed and frazzled (Saturday night rush.) Food was great no complaints
I just went for the first time last Friday and I can say I did not leave disappointed. I ordered the escargot, lobster roll and soften the blow (drink) and everything was amazing! I personally wished I’ve chosen another drink because it was my first time trying anything with absinthe (sweet medicine
We made a meal of the apps & my faves were the beets! Seasonal in the fall so get them while you can! Dressed atop a luscious spread of fluffy cheese & topped with a toasted, nutty granola-like crunchy topping. Perfect bites that hit all the sweet, savory, crunchy, rich, smooth & healthy notes! YUMM
Its a little cozy but well worth it for the cocktails, natural wine and delicious menu. We ordered the mussles, frites, parisian gnocci and the chicken cutlet. Our server, Shae, took excellent care of us. We will be back!
We visited Roux directly after landing in Rochester, having found it through a quick Google search for restaurants. Roux’s quaint, quietly sophisticated interior (with the option of outside dining) felt welcoming. Our server, Abigail, thoroughly knew the menu and directed us to cocktails and entrees
A cute little café with impressively delicious french food! The gorgeous atmosphere is sophisticated, but not stuffy. The waitress was very kind and helpful. The food is definitely pricey, but certainly worth it if you're willing to spend a little extra. Both our latte and americano we're great and
Charming French bistro with outdoor seating along Park Ave in the Summer. Very affordable wine selection (we ordered a carafe for $20) and delicious selection of food! We came on a Wednesday evening and enjoyed the $2 Barnstable oysters and bowl of steamed muscles in a white wine/cream base with fre
Very well done steak! Asked for medium rare and got just what we needed, a perfect amount of pink and blood. Spent some time to find a parking on a Memorial Day. We booked a table in advance and I advise to do so. We were incredibly indecisive about the menu and as soon as we ordered two steaks, my
Went for brunch, on a Sunday, and it was a very pleasant experience. This was my second time there, last time having been on a Saturday. It was much busier than the first time, so the wait time was a little longer, but still very reasonable given the amount of people that were there. I got the shaks
My wife and I celebrated our 22nd Anniversary here. From Chicago, we were in town moving our daughter in to UR for her sophomore year. Food, service, drinks, ambience, vibe, temperature, noise level, lighting, everything was excellent! Perfect! Could not ask for a better evening. Highly recomme
What a lovely, cozy, delicious Gem! Roux was simply amazing. Making reservations online was easy, we were cheerfully greeted by the host and our group of 4 was sat in a cozy corner window seat. The benches, adorned with cushy pillows, were roomy and comfortable! Our waitress was attentive and friend
