Review Cracker Barrel - Rochester

Allen
What I love about Cracker Barrel, you can never go wrong. At any location you get the same great food, service and the unique atmosphere of each location. What stood out at this location was the great service by Nichole Briggs she was friendly, engaging, and always checked during the breakfast. Couldn’t be more satisfied, try the new steak casserole, it’s phenomenal.

The food was very good, I had the fried turkey special. Becoming a points member, awarded me a free appetizer right away! Shopping after, in the gift store was the bomb! I was able to get 3 people Christmas gifts that are perfect!

I used to think there prices were high, but now I see that they are right there with every other dine in restaurant, but there food is much better than some of the dine in or takeout their service was outstanding. The food was the best I’ve had in quite a while, we had the stuffed Pancakes with strawberries on top very good coffee was great . The eggs were done just the way we wanted them. I will definitely be going back there.

Excellent place to get a home cooked meal experience! It is nice to visit their country store while you wait to be seated. The food is excellent, especially their fried chicken! The only downside is the store gets crowded and the wait can be between 20 to 40 minutes. I can understand why though, because the food is quite satisfying!

Always one of my favorite stops when traveling. You can always count on good food. It may take a tad longer because it's all cooked to order. Love the biscuits and cornbread. Breakfast is always a winner here. Lunch and dinner options are good also. Great and unique items can be found in the gift shop. Something for everyone, clothing for all, toys, food items and a wonderful selection of seasonal items.

Date of visit: Sunday Oct 29th, 2023 We always stop at a Cracker Barrel at least Once every time we are on a US Roguetrip. This time it was the one in Rochester. We were greeted by our server ARYN, who was very pleasant, friendly, and energetic. While we always have excellent service when we are at Cracker Barrel restaurants, I feel the need to point out Aryn, because the service we received was exceptional. They were very affable. Aryn took our order and remembered every detail. When there was a delay they came out to let us know it was coming soon. throughout our Meal Aryn kept checking in on us to see how we were doing, if we needed anything, and to bring us refills of our drinks (without being asked). When a minor mistake was made - we all had a good laugh over the mix up - it was very minor - sweet tea brought instead of unsweetened for one of us - thus leaving us with 3 different teas. I ordered the new item - the country fried turkey and When Aryn brought it to the table - they apologized profusely for the lack of country gravy as it ran out - I advised it was all good - because I dont really like gravy anyway. The Catfish dinner is always a must. The food at Cracker Barrel is always good - if it wasn't - we wouldn't keep coming back. We love visiting CBOCS for the food, and the merchandise in the store. I pointed out Aryn's service because - while company's like Cracker Barrel can make everything very consistent across its many locations - one thing that can still be a stand out. is the human element - and Aryn made our visit to this Cracker Barrel an exceptional one through their kindness, energetic nature, positive attitude, and pride in their work. Thank you

I always come here for breakfast and they never disappoint. Takes me back to the southern style days. Very affordable prices worth good portions. The staff is always nice. One of the managers there name Jimmy was pretty cool. Definitely would recommend this place. Best part of the visit is the gift shop. The bonus part about that is they also have some original candy choices here as well. CANDY I GREW UP ON🥰😊Love it!

Great breakfast! Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Went for another visit. Got the chicken fried turkey. Not my favorite. The batter is made of a stuffing mix which I didn't enjoy. Just a heads up if you wanted to try it.

The food was delicious. There was some confusion when the food was bought out. The Server who took our order didn't serve us, so 2 others were confused who ordered what. The chicken sausage was too spicy . Please consider turkey sausage and please not spicy. I can not eat spicy food! Other than those 2 issues, it was very good!

I'm a little surprised by all the negative commentaries but to each his/her experience. I loved my visit. My best friend had just arrived back in town and we decided to have breakfast at the cracker barrel. Our waitress was really sweet, very friendly, and very easy to communicate with. We didn't have to wait long before ordering. I can't have sausage or bacon and I ordered a breakfast plate that included it. So I asked her if there might be any way I could exchange the bacon/sausage for something else and she assured me she could work something out. She did. I was given a side of divine fried apples to accompany my perfectly made pancakes and sunny side up eggs. The food was very satisfying. The waitress came through in a very timely manner for refills on water and coffee. She wasn't in the way at all. If she wasn't on the job I'd have invited her to have a seat with us. My best friend and I had sat and talked long after we paid for the meal, we weren't rushed to leave or even bothered. I was very comfortable, my belly was full. I enjoyed my breakfast. I will definitely be going back. Oh and I love the pure maple syrup in the little glass bottles to die for. Thanks Cracker Barrel.

The first time we went there, we liked the charm and ambiance of the place. But then when it came to ordering, both items we wanted weren't being served anymore! Why was it still on the menu? We did come a bit late but, they could've given us a heads up on which weren't available and all. It's not that easy looking at that long list of food and ending up having to choose again. We decided to give it another shot. The next time we went there, it seems the server woke up on the wrong side of the bed. We've just sat at the table and been given the menu and she's already asking what we want and not in a nice way, mind you. It's like she was in a hurry or something. When our order came, we asked for some napkins. Oooh.. the way she handed them on them on the table, I could not help my eyebrows from raising, I guess she was too uninterested to notice since she immediately turned her back on us. When it came to picking up plates that were done, forks and spoons clattered noisily on the plates. Our 2-year old was a bit surprised by it. And by the way, there weren't even many customers at that time. Now I am not sure if I want to go there again. I mean the food is nice, but with service like that? :(

One of the few times I actually pretty much finished my plate of food. I ordered the hickory ham, mouthwatering We were seated promptly and food came quickly.. Good thing cuz we were hungry. Price was great also.. very reasonable. Beautiful place and people.

Very generic diner food, but the overall experience is awful. To get to the restaurant you have to walk through a store full of the tackiest faux-patriotic garbage, all made in China. Reading the menu is pretty infuriating because instead of just straightforwardly describing the food it reads like a hillbilly used car salesman is trying to sell you breakfast. Also they fired Brad's wife after working there for 11 years.

Excellent Valentine's Day lunch. Very friendly waitress and our food was delicious! Never have been disappointed here.

We love the Cracker Barrel! Love the shopping and the good food. Usually the service is great. However yesterday December 2nd a group of us (6 girl friends) while waiting for the other 3, sat down at our table so we could have a cup of coffee. We did not get ANY service for a half an hour!!! It was a little after 7 am and we really wanted coffee!

Totally enjoyed our recent visit to Cracker Barrel. Great food and great service. Our server, Matthew, was attentive and very personable.

We have always loved Cracker Barrel...someone is changing things....The last 3 times we have been there the food is very salty or laden with butter, biscuits rubbery and corn bread very dry... Sad:(

I always enjoy the biscuits and gravey, service is alway prompt and courteous , I think my only complaint would be the rooms acoustics, it's always loud! Maybe it's just the Henrietta location, New Yorkers can be loud by nature! ;-)

Express seating however, waited 45 minutes for food. What we ordered was not what we received and it was cold. Very disappointing!!!!

The main characteristic about chain restaurants is that you
know what you are going to experience in food & service quality. This makes writing about chain restaurants
sort of uninteresting, unless you have something to complain about.

This isn’t the case with Cracker Barrel in Henrietta, which
provided exceptional service for the morning breakfast. The wait staff was on top of their game
ensuring a great breakfast experience. Kudos
to the Cracker Barrel Wait staff.

Besides the usual delicious morning breakfast foods, Cracker Barrel has some interesting deviations on the standard fare. I thoroughly enjoyed the Ham N’ Maple Bacon
Southern Bowl meal, excellent taste. The
Fired Chicken Benedict Bowl was a feast.
Be warned, if you try these items, prepare to take a nap afterwards.

Cracker Barrel fulfilled the quote by John Guther, “All
Happiness depends on a leisurely breakfast.”

If you're craving good ole southern American comfort food and don't mind that Cracker Barrel is a chain restaurant, then this might a great place to visit! Adam and I used to come here every so often. I love Cracker Barrels in general. I love the silly triangle game they place at the table, the cozy fireplace, their lovely food, reasonable prices, and ESPECIALLY their "old world" store.

I haven't had anything there I don't particularly like... Though their breakfast platters and the salad with steak on it are my favorites. I also enjoy their diet root beer!

Service slow, food cold, store staff not very friendly, we used to like eating here. We have stopped at stores down south on vacation, much better.

Absolutely Horrible. Hard to call it food. Served cold, served late and poorly prepared. Not what is used to be go somewhere else.

-----02 Jan, 2014-----

Not what it used to be. Servers great, service bad, food cold, management less that helpfull, kitchen staff slow. Too bad used to be good for breakfast and a satisfying dinner.

It is what it is. It's a Cracker Barrel. They are all the same. I feel bad about saying I like a great big cookie cutter chain, but sometimes this is just what I want.

What I think and how I feel.. I like the Cracker Barrel Rest. I like the food and the servers and host/hostess are wonderful. I feel that the art in the store (ie pictures) should be a reflection of the clientel that eat there. I feel that they should have photos of people of color in the 1900's they are easily found online there is no shortage of pictures. We all as a people struggled during that time and had good times and bad. Cracker Barrel it's time to truly intergrate in every way that's including the visuals.
