Is this place small? Yes. Is there often a wait? Yes. Does either of these things matter after you eat the food? Not in the slightest. Great food and cozy atmosphere. This ain't black tie dining, folks. The pho is great but the squid is a must!
Service was excellent food was excellent yummy I will definitely recommend this place to everyone
I use to go to Sea a lot but since I don’t work in the area anymore I haven’t been. We decided to stop in for lunch and so happy we did. Jenny is so nice and knowledgeable. She is the best! And the food was great as well! We ordered the beef pho, a rice dish with pork chops and a noodle dish.
Delicious! We had papya salad, shrimp and pork spring rolls, crispy noodles, fried rice and pho. So good!
Fantastic place for some fresh and delicious Thai! Bubble tea - fantastic. Egg rolls - very unusual but liked them! Fried rice - super delicious. The star of the show - crispy fried noodles with beef. WOW, such crispy noodles that absorbed the sauce at the bottom when you were ready for it and became even more amazing. The SAUCE, a very thin broth, had a very rich flavor. Great mix of fresh sautéed veggies and the beef was delicious as well. Would happily return!
We were visiting from Canada and found this gem of a restaurant. The food was out of this world. All the dishes were so flavorful. Even my picky eater gave 5 starts for the food. The staff was working with such enthusiasm.
The place is nice and the food is okay. Inside is clean and staff are friendly. The green curry was just a watery broth and not very good, but it had a big portion. I was expecting a thicker, creamy curry like at other places so was pretty surprised at the soupy broth. The spring rolls were pretty bland, and just so so (only shrimp, noodles, and lettuce - no mint or cucumber or any other greens). The pho was pretty okay, probably the better of the dishes we tried.
Nice location and friendly staff. Some stuff on the menu are great but some are not that much. I didn't like the sauce that came with spring rolls and I think the spring rolls are quite bland. But I'm hoping to come back here next time to try more food on the menu!
First time eating at Sea Restaurant. Was a pleasant experience. Food was excellent. The atmosphere is quaint, the only thing was that the server only checked on us one time. She was very pleasant to deal with, very friendly, but I feel she should have checked on the table at least two or three more times. But definitely would love having her service us again. I ordered the Manasaun Pork Curry, which was very good. My friend ordered the sweet Vermicelli Bowl. She enjoyed it. And the portions were more than what was expected. Also ordered 2 egg rolls. Very good. Definitely will find a reason to go back.
We have been regulars at the Mount Hope shop for years. We stopped going to either place after we discovered Tony's. When Tony's closed, we went back to Mount Hope. There we always thought that the pork was overcooked in the house vermicelli and that the serving was a bit scant. But, we never liked the atmosphere at Monroe Ave. and we never tried anything there but Pho.
Well, the pork was tender, nicely cooked, not dried out and the serving was generous. What a difference. Still not at Tony's standard but worth coming back for. The fresh spring rolls weren't particularly well made and wanted to fall apart...but so it goes. Parking is a real problem but we plan to return.
Pho cravings satisfied! Generous amount of meat. Their fried squid is really good as well!
DELICIOUS!! great prices for great portions! Fully recommend since it's just so hearty and makes you feel so good on an autumn night. I had the fried squid and kapoon with chicken, while my friend had chicken pho. Both were very delicious :)
