Never disappointed. Shrimp and chicken half and half are my go-to meals, but the crayfish fettuccine is awesome, too. If you don’t like the food, you don’t like creole food. Best I’ve Had since New Orleans. Don’t skip the beignets.
We had food catered for my daughters graduation party and it was awesome. Not the typical pasta, pizza or cookout food and everyone loved it! The Mini Po'boys were gone first and the sweet potato casserole should have been on the dessert table. Thanks again FQC
My coworker and I were in Rochester for a work trip and someone suggested this restaurant to us, and we were so glad they did. The food was delicious, and the place is decorated super cool. They have some really nice art on the walls. The customer service was awesome too. Our waiter, Ethan, was beyond amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and loooooved the beignets we got for dessert. I wish we could have stayed longer as an R&B show was about to start but we had to leave. I’ll be back if I find myself in Rochester again. I highly recommend
The food was good. Having been to New Orleans and loving Louisiana’s food scene, I’d say the food was inspired by New Orleans for sure. It’s not exactly New Orleans style but it was all very tasty. The fried okra was delish but could have used a dipping sauce. Our Po’ Boys were great seafood sandwiches but I definitely was missing the remoulade. My daughter had the shrimp creole. It was tasty but the plate came to the table without being cleaned. It could have also used a little less sauce so you could see the shrimp. For dessert we shared a plate of beignets which were warm and delicious along with banana pudding. The banana pudding was great to have after some spicy food to cool the palate. For a drink, I had a Frenched Sweet Tea. It had just the right combination of alcohol and sweet tea. Overall we enjoyed everything and we’d definitely go back.
One suggestion would be to add a QR Code of the menu on each table instead of taping a note to the drink list. They could either put tabletop QR signs or just laminate a QR code to a corner on each table.
So the menu looked good and wanted to try this place. FYI, park out back. Went on a Saturday night with party of 5. You could tell they were short staffed and wasn’t a big deal as we had time. The food was awesome as we ordered a bunch of items to sample. Personally had the crawfish boudin balls they are awesome. Also ordered the cup of gumbo and of course a po boy crawfish of course. All of the apps were great. Dinner entrees I had the signature Crawfish Fettuccini it was ok. I felt too salty. 2 of the party ordered the smothered catfish they both liked it and the other two ordered the fried shrimp. I would dine hear again. Service was slow but expected as they were short handed. My only real complaint was the chirp from the smoke detector was really annoying. The ambience makes you feel like you are in Louisiana.
The food was pretty good! Server was very kind and knowledgeable about the menu.
I have feedback for this establishment.
-no kids meal or kid food whatsoever? Guys, we the people have money to spend at your restaurant. I asked if they could serve my child the noodles from the fettuccini dish, except plain. They said “no”… I ended up ordering him plain bread. That is untapped profits. I’d have paid $12 for a .30 side of noodles!!
-we are two years into the pandemic. There is no excuse for serving appetizers in paper bowls, ketchup packets instead of bottles, and silverware in paper bags. It’s honestly not a good look - especially in such a gorgeous ambiance.
-no napkins or plates served with the beignets. No extra napkins with the chicken wings. You can just do better.
We ordered crawfish etoufee and crawfish feticini...both were absolutely delicious! The building is somewhat tucked away and not on any main roads. The old building has lots of historic features. Our service was poor, however we got the impression she may have been new and nervous. The other staff stepped in to try to help her several times.
If you are looking for some authentic New Orleans food, this place is a must! We hope to go back, especially on a Wednesday night, as they also have live music.
Fantastic! I found a new favorite place to visit. I have been missing this food since going to New Orleans and now I've found it! Everything was excellent including the service and I would highly recommend it.
We ordered from Grubhub, I knew about New Orleans food but never tried it before, I'm glad I didn't wait another day. This was fantastic everything we ordered , the food was seasoned and flavorful perfectly cooked delivered hot and fresh, the sausage, chicken, rice, potatoes, pasta, salad, fresh beignets was so good I'm about to plan a trip to New Orleans
This place is amazing and everything gives off a New Orleans vibe. The artwork on the wall looks really nice also. It's a nice quiet location you can attend for for a business dinner or with family. The staff is very friendly and responsive. The food, phenomenal! I had the gumbo appetizer, fried okra and fish. The alcohol tasted really good also. The price for the food suits it very well.
I love the food here. The fried catfish smothered in crawfish ettoufe is amazing.
I will say the menu, selection, and service has gone downhill a bit over the last couple years, but that's also true of many places. My biggest issue is that they often have live music upstairs, and if you're just there to dine, it's a bit loud for casual dining. But live music is awesome, so just keep that in mind.
Can't wait to return...I want to share this jewel with family and friends! Just superb! I had the fried fillet (perfect!), the dirty rice (crazy tasty...took some to go!!) and the sweet tea (well-balanced!). Of all the restaurants, this is the first one to hit the golden trifecta: excellently prepared meal (hats off to you, Chef!), budget-friendly prices (kudos to the savvy owners), and really sincere service (here's looking at you, Ariana)! Thank you, French Quarter!
