Chicken Express Roanoke

First off, let me say that the staff was absolutely amazing. They were very friendly and served us very quickly. The food too was also very good. If I was only leaving a review for these two reasons it would have been a 5 star. However, the sheer level of heat inside of that building is VERY worrying, especially for the staff. This is Texas in the summer, no one's AC, especially in a restaurant like this, should EVER be out for long. I've come in 3 times over the last few months and it has still yet to be addressed. I will be looking into OSHA as it cannot possibly be safe for the workers to work in those conditions. If, as a customer, it was brutally hot, I can only imagine how it is for those behind the counters. The fact staff STILL maintained a positive attitude and served us so quickly is honestly incredible. They deserve better than to work in those conditions.

CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE YOU LEAVE. And get your receipt. For some reason, what you order is just a suggestion at this location. I've eaten here regularly over the last two years, over the last 6-8 months, I've had more wrong orders than correct orders. Some have been laughably wrong. Also, the cole slaw, once my favorite among fast food places, has become horrible. It tastes old and sour now. The spicy chicken tenders are dry. The two stars are for the rolls and the okra (when they remember to put it in the box). Honestly, slow down and get it right. I'm tired of calling and going back to get what I ordered.

I order a 3 piece fish I would then expect a 3 piece fish. Instead, I receive whatever they felt like (thigh, wing, breast) with my sides (which was accurate at least) and 2 rolls after waiting like normal time for the fish.... heck, the person taking the order could barely get my second order right... Maybe they were high, maybe they were drunk, I do not know nor will I presume, but I do know that this level of service is unacceptable, rude, and lazy. If you decide to go eat here, please check your food and DO NOT trust them

I am truly unhappy. I buy chicken livers from Chicken Express ALL the time. Today I bought them from the Roanoke location and I am thoroughly disappointed. The young lady at the window was a real sweetheart with great customer service. Everything was going well until....I tasted the livers. THE OIL THAT THEY WERE COOKED IN IS OLD. The livers we're soooo salty we could not eat them and they tasted of old stale grease. Please change the oil. Economizing there is a terrible mistake. I know that I will not frequent this location again.

This was the WORST Chicken Express I’ve ever gone to. The chicken was extremely salty and chewy (overcooked) as well as the biscuit tasted at least a day old. The only reason I gave two stars was for the okra. And they lowered my price when seeing I was paying with cash. What’s up with that? I thought charging a higher price for using a credit card was against the law!?

This is getting a 3 star because the ronoke location is horrible. I have tried the ronoke location twice both times my strips tasted like they had not changed their oil in weeks and my bone in chicken was not ediable due to being so dry so much so could have been yeterdays chicken. The Keller location is for sure a five star always crispy and very juicy and fresh !
