I am speechless about the quality of food prepared for us. I wanted to try new things so I started off with the peanut soup. So flavorful. When they served it the cup had some peanuts on the bottom and our server poured the soup at the table. Simply amazing. Then we went to the filet mignon. I saw people with A1 on their table and I was wondering why. There was so much flavor and it was cooked to perfection. They could do away with the shoe string fries and maybe do a garlic potato mash. The desert was the perfect ending. Fig sorbet and creme brulee went perfect together. Our meal was exquisite! Definitely felt like pretty women on our girls weekend. Every minute from our personal greeting at the door to our personal goodbye made our evening amazing.
The lovely Regency Room never disappoints! We enjoyed our romantic anniversary dinner and Richard, our attendant, could not have treated us more royally! I'm also very appreciative of all the gluten free items available and the special attention given to my diet restrictions.
As always the brunch is a family favorite. All ages of our family love coming here. It's nice to see the same faces of those working here after coming here for many years.
Very nice place for brunch or dinner Bobby took very good care of us , unique food selection from eggs, to prime rib, fruits, seafood, excellent peanut soup and spoon bread array of desserts you won't go wrong selecting this eatery!
Honestly the best food and service I’ve received in a long time our server Brittany was everything! Made my graduation day special
She was so sweet! ☺️
Everyone says the Peanut Soup is a must-try. Well, it’s true! The full serving probably isn’t enough to share, so order a round! My burger was not very good. Over cooked and the pretzel bun was hard. Fries were very good on the side, though! The pulled chicken BBQ quesadilla was a delicious appetizer. Highly recommend. Our server was very polite and attentive. The atmosphere was also elegant and spacious. Went for lunch on a Wednesday and nearly had the whole place to ourselves. Walking the hotel grounds and grabbing a bite was the perfect midday outing in Roanoke.
We celebrated my inlaws 55th wedding anniversary in the room. Stately, elegant, quiet, and historical. Food and service were great. Highly recommend for intimate gathering if you can get it.
Great lunch buffet in a swank historic hotel that is beautifully preserved. Great way to see this historic beauty. The price was good value too at $18 per person. The Regency Room was also handicap accessible by an elevator and also a nice ramp off the lobby. The wait staff was very attentive too. The selection of the buffet the day we were there included a wonderful salmon, sliders, chicken and amazing desserts!
Come here for a fancy dinner or special evening out! The food is unique and tasty. Waiters start you off with a basket of warm, multi-grain bread and butter which was delicious! The salmon was excellent, and the shrimp and grits were so good (very cheesy grits)! But save room for dessert, because the maple tart with ginger ice cream was heavenly. Excellent service and all staff were wearing face masks, so I will definitely eat here again!
