New China Restaurant

I should have known they weren’t good when the person on the phone asked me if I was ordering from the right place. I have never been severed spaghetti noodles as “lo mein”. This was aweful!!! The noodles were dry and the food had no flavor. I don’t know what the meat was but I do know, it ain’t chicken! $35 worth of garbage. Don’t waste your money. 🤢

I will admit that I have only been to the this take out once, but I will also add that I also never write reviews. Our Egg Foo Young was burnt (posted image), and the taste of the sauce was not at all what I have had before. In my opinion, it was disgusting. The shrimp fried rice was mushy, and the Beef Lo Mein was bland and practically tasteless. My son thought their General Tso Chicken was Orange Chicken from the lack of spice, and was more breading than meat. They "told us" the moment we walked in to "put a mask on", which didn't make much sense to us considering we could see every person in the back cooking the food had NO MASK ON!!!! Regardless these people have no right to be as rude as they are with such underwhelming food to say the least.

We ordered delivery tonight. Our usual Chinese take out place does not do delivery so we choose the next closest one. The delivery person showed up after 45 min saying, that they had no white rice. I falsely assumed they substituted the white rice with some other kind of rice and that's why she mentioned it. But no, there was no rice for my $12 meal. My husband had a combo that included fried rice so he shared with me. Neither of us did get a whole meal and I am very disappointed! I also do not understand why they did not call to ask what I wanted as a substitute for the white rice. Taste of the meal was so-so.

I go to this place about twice a month and have been doing that for years. I'll readily admit that I don't have much experience with all of the items on their menu. I have had their sweet and sour chicken, sesame chicken, and orange chicken, and they were all good. The orange chicken is my favorite, and of the ones that I have tried, this place has the best. Right now, they only offer carry out and delivery. I live less than 3 miles away from New China. I usually either call in my order or place it online, wait about 5 minutes after placing the order to leave, and it is always ready to pick up when I get there. They do not have a bunch of stuff sitting under heat lamps either. Every item is made when the order comes in. The service is basic. You go in, pay for your order, pick it up and leave. Don't expect friendly service, a light conversation, or even a smile. They are not rude or nasty, they just don't go out of their way to make you feel good. What they do do is make very good food very fast, and unlike most fast food places, they have never gotten my order wrong.
