Ten Ren's Tea Time

Visiting Riverside for work and had the urge for hotpot. Quick google search and I came across Ten Ren’s Tea Time. I liked the name so I went. The menu was inviting with its variations of teas and juices. I was not sure which tea I wanted so the Roasted Oolong Tea was recommended. This was a favorite here and I can see why. It was delicious. Now onto the food, again the choices were all appetizing and difficult to choose one. I decided to to try the Spicy Pork Bone joy pot with beef. Again, I liked the name. The presentation was beautiful, the taste, absolutely delicious! Flavor of the broth was rich and perfectly spiced. With each scoop I discovered something different. This brought me much joy. If you are ever in the mood for a joy pot and are in Riverside, California, I highly recommend having a meal at Ten Ren’s Tea Time. I’ll definitely be back.

Ordered through their website and was charged $37. So when I asked for a receipt, when I went to go pick up the food, I was not given one. I asked to cancel the order and placed the order there at the restaurant so I could see how I was charged and found out it was only $28 for the same exact order just not done through their website. Not to mention the customer service representative upfront through a hissy fit when I was trying to make sure I was charged correctly for the meal.They huffed and puffed the whole time I tried to get this corrected. Threw their hands in the air and said”well what do you want me to do?” Obviously charge your customer correctly. Also the food was blah. There was a pound of cilantro on the Wonton soup that was not mentioned in the menu. This will be the last time we go here. 1 star cause I have too and the tea was good.

GOOD food, service could be better. Ordered a "to go popcorn chicken" and took FOREVER despite our dine in lunch meals coming out in a timely manner. "Server dude" with glasses has good customer service skills, the 2 other female servers were ok @ best. But I like the food here- plus lunch has specials on certain drinks so I'll be coming back.

Service is fast, environment is clean, and staff is friendly plus attentive. Had the spicy wontons, and the spicy ramen. The wontons were very delicious, but not really spicy. The ramen broth was delicious, but not very spicy. (I might have a greater tolerance than most though.) Parking is in the back, and restrooms are clean.

The drinks here immensely sweet. I ordered mine 1/4 sweet and it was still wildly sweet. The clear boba was what you would expect. They had ran out of standard boba. This is my second visit. The first was was awful, rude employees and a drink I had to simply throw away. This visit was much more pleasant. The employees were very nice and engaging, the tea tasted good outside of being overly sweet as mentioned. The boba was okay, if you're looking for good boba and tea, there are plenty of other much better places within walking distance of this place. If you're looking for boba and food, this place seems to be one of the very few that serve both.

My bestfriend took me here for the first time. The boba/tea are high in sugar. I probably didn't read the menu and just asked my friend. So, 2nd time around with my friends. We just came here for the tea/boba drinks. My red bean teaser was really good. Not too sugary. Actually, you can tell them whenever you order the drink if you'd like less sugar. That's a must that you can control how it taste like for your own drink. Since, i like less sugar on my drink. Price is reasonable.
