Taco Bout It

Stopped here for dinner before a show at the Suffolk Theater last weekend. My husband wanted to see if we could find something else, and I for once already knew what I wanted from here. Long story short, we ordered and waited for our food started up a conversation with 2 other couples also going to the show. We saw their food come out and we got excited, everything was fresh and absolutely delicious. One man running the restaurant. Bravo Sir !! we were pleasantly surprised and impressed. We will definitely be back.

Authentic Mexican food served with an authentic Mexican additude. Some how I feel like I would get better service if I was Latino... I come here all the time, the food is great but the owner is a small angry man. If you're not Latino then brace yourself for poor customer service. The five stars is for the food.

Food was great. Ordered 5 tacos of different types, plantains, and a bottle of soda. Service was fast and friendly. Only downside is that you have to pay cash here. So if you plan on eating here make sure to bring cash or you can use the ATM they have. I was charged $1 to use it which is not bad either though.

Been seeing this place for a while, finally decided to try it! I saw they had Birria tacos and i am obsessed with them… so i decided to order them, pros: the tortillas are handmade which for me makes them taste much better and more authentic. The meat is so soft and tender very delicious. The birria tacos have melted cheese which makes it so yummy. Cons: I was expecting them to be a bit spicy since they’re usually spicy. Single tortillas and they were falling apart they’re usually doubled up. the soup to dip the tacos in was too liquidy and kind of tasteless. Overall i was pretty satisfied i can verify this is authentic mexican food because i’ve been eating it since i was little. The pricing was pretty good, 33 dollars for 6 birria tacos and 2 sodas. Im a big big BIG fan of Funchos and for 2 orders of birria tacos (6) its 34 dollars so much better! If you want good spicy birria tacos i recommend going to funchos you won’t be disappointed!

Very private for a downtown spot. Cozy inside with tables in the alleyway outside. Food was absolutely delicious. Authentic flavor and presentation. The two signature sauces were outstanding with the enchiladas. The only draw back for me was the food was served on paper dishes, and in to go containers is all. Still excellent for lunch.
