Whataburger

Just passing through but It was extremely busy at 2 MST which was to be expected but they had only 1 person on the registers. Kids were standing around on their phones and visiting their friends while the manager was working hard. A woman had to wait for what seemed like forever to get the condiments she requested. Behind the registers, cups were all over the floor and the bathrooms were in VERY rough shape. The mens restroom had 2-3 bags worth of trash on the floor, no soap, toilets a mess, water wasn’t working, and on and on. I know good workers are hard to come by but jeez.

What GREAT service! I would recommend you pull thru or pull up and get a bite to eat here! Thr dining room is locked so you have to use the drive thru or order pick up. As full time RVers with No Car, this COV* has made running out for a quick bite horrific! So many places have their dining tooms closed still. Which is extremely annoying because we don't have a vehicle that fits in drive thrus. So we are very limited in pur choices. The day we pulled up here we thought the dining room was open, it isn't. We were so upset and disappointed. Then Oscar came out. He spoke as soon as he saw us walking away. He went inside and got us a menu. He happily took our order, going back inside and out several times to do it. He was wearing his mask and maintained his distance the entire time. He brought us out our food and it was hot and smelled great! I had the mushroom swiss burger meal add bacon large and my husband had the double bacon burger meal large. When we got in our RV to eat, it was DELICIOUS, hot juicy and so tasty. I will say, our fries were a little over cooked but still good and just the right amount of salt! In our bag he put spicy ketchup and regular as well as napkins, this is a big deal for me because I didn't ask and he did it anyways most places now you havr to ask, which is frustrating because sometimes I forget. LoL The service we received was above and beyond. We were so pleased and so full. Thanks guys your awesome! When we were leaving in our 33ft motorhome it was easy to get out because the parking lot is pretty big and clean. Great quick brunch expiernce that started off as a bad one. *food was so good I forgot to take a pic, we ate it too fast!*

Update 6/2022: I had to take off a star because the last two times we went there, the lobby was still closed (seems normal in NM) either because of Covid or understaffing, and the drive thru line was super long. Then when we got our food, both my wife’s and my burger were prepared incorrectly. Plus they handed us drinks with no ice and didn’t mention that the ice maker was broken when we ordered. I took off another star for the food issues. Now that there are multiple locations in the area, there’s no reason to go to this one! Original Review: We moved to Utah from Texas and Whataburger has been one of the biggest things we miss! So when we drive through Albuquerque going to or from Utah, we have to stop and get Whata. The food was fresh, service was great, just an all around great experience.

The place is immaculate as far as clean, the female helping us was very nice. The only thing I didn't like was my burger patty was the same size as the kids burger? I added green chili but forgot cheese. Pretty much felt like a vegetarian burger. I wish the person would of suggested cheese. we will go back. Kid friendly 😉

Good food. Would give more stars but they forgot some food and the lady at the register was not happy and when I said I like the coleslaw on the burger she said it wasn’t coleslaw even though it states that it’s a slaw. She didn’t seem like she wanted to be there, which is unfortunate. But the food was good so that’s a plus.

This place almost killed me tonight. I ordered a double with only cheese and ketchup since I'm allergic to mustard and that's usually the easiest way to not get mustard. I get home, open my burger and it's loaded with mustard. Check your food if you're using the drive thru, especially if you have allergies
