Pearl Restaurant

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! My bf and I went to a restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. The server was very friendly, but the food was awful that it tasted rotten. I ordered Filet Mignon steak. I asked for medium rare. I was shocked when they brought the steak. They brought literally raw meat!!!!So, I had to ask for medium rare again and it was still raw meat. IS THIS A MEDIUM RARE??!!They completely ruined our dinner!

I've always wondered what it was like to eat at this place. Today we experienced the full experience and it was great. During our visit, Nonna, her husband, and Max greeted us, and we were blown away by the food, service, and hospitality they provided. Having freshly made pasta from Nonna made us feel like we were dining in Sicily. This is the place to go in Ridgewood if you want a fine Italian dining experience. Don't forget..BYOB

Really nice staff, very welcoming, and family oriented. But, the food was very disappointing. They present is very nicely on the plate but doesn’t taste as good as it looks. My husband got the steak for the main entire and it had a weird flavor to it. I got the mozzarella pasta and it was just okay nothing great. We got apple crisp for desert and it was not the best either. My husbands favorite part of the meal was the cappuccino which was the only thing that was really delicious. WOULD NOT GO THERE AGAIN.

I went to Pearl for the first time last weekend after several friends had recommended the restaurant. They have a nice outdoor area (when seasonally appropriate). The food was exceptional. I ordered the truffle / mushroom ravioli and must confirm that it was one of the best that I have had! The staff were attentive and friendly. I was so pleased with the restaurant that I booked an event there in a couple of weeks for my social club.

Although the wait staff was very nice and polite, and the food tasted great... I felt very rushed to order, eat, and get out. I also feel that it was a tad overpriced especially compared to some of the local competition. The place also did not feel as welcoming as it did on the pictures. Worth checking out? Yes. Worth coming back for another round? No. I will however say it is nice they offer BYOB.

Staff was very friendly and attentive but the food was awfully disappointing. We decided to come here for lunch because of how well the food was presented online. When we arrived, we were the only ones there, should of saw that as a red flag. I ordered a Filet Mignon as my entree, very disappointing. Worse steak I’ve ever had. I specifically asked for medium rare and it was nearly fully cooked. I literally tasted burned pieces and it was very dry. They did accommodate and I ordered Salmon, also very disappointing. It tasted as if I was eating rubber. My friend ordered Chicken and she said it was okay. The only positive thing I can say is that the bread was good and I want to emphasize how excellent the staff treated us.

I made reservations for my son's Confirmation at Pearl a month ago and confirmed 2 days before. My party of 10 arrived promptly and the owner's son told me sorry we missed your reservation if you want to sit outside in 90 degree weather if not we cannot accommodate you. Very matter of fact no remorse. We ended up sitting outside as there were no other places who would take us. What a disgrace my guests there waiting and my sons Confirmation celebration almost ruined. We sat outside the food was very good and the waiter Enrique saved our experience, also Nonna visited us a very special woman and amazing cook. He did end up taking a % off the bill for their mistake but his attitude and the fact they almost ruined my sons special day was very unprofessional. I do like their food but be careful when planning a special event with them!
