Explore the many excellent appetizers to start a great meal.. the white mussels are excellent, antipasta is just right, fried calamari very good, or split a pair of manicotti for the table.. then either order classic Italian dishes from pastas with very good sauyces meat or not, to seafood done right, to the special with are always special... and save room for dessert... th ehouse wines are also great compliments to the food if you so desire... this place rocks..

Very good Italian food and service. However the Porterhouse Steak is a sirloin steak. Instead of drawn butter they gave just melted butter. The sauce is very good and fresh. Very good antipasto salad. Great seafood.
The atmosphere here is laid back and it feels like you are in another time. It is a family owned business which has been around a long time. You get the feeling that it is a neighborhood restaurant where the customers are regulars. The prices are good but you have to read the fine print on the menu because some of the new prices are not reflected on the menu. As of 2/7/23 the menu was not updated. The Bread they bring to the table is accompanied by Butter and also by some Olive Oil w/peppers, it was very good. I had the Breaded Shrimp which comes with Pasta or Mixed Vegetables. I had the side of Ziti. The Shrimp was very good but the Ziti was not as Al Dente as I would've like and the sauce was bland. My friend had The Bolognese, she found that it had very little flavor. We shared a Mixed Berry Tart w/whipped cream which was good. The service was good and the staff is friendly. The space is pretty with some nice art and it's cozy.
Just to say...perfection on Ridgewood! This Italian restaurant represents what is all about great service delicious food! The ambient and atmosphere is very calm welcoming from the moment you step into Joe's. Be ready to enjoy the most delicious Italian cuisine. The service is top noch!! We talking about great service all the way. The food is masterpiece on your mouth. BABABOOM service by nasa and every one that was taking care our table. He was sure the my salad was gluten free full of flavors. ( my apologies for no having every one names here on this review, my notes are been stolen) but you know who you are. This neighborhood restaurant is worth the trip!!! Not even my neighborhood and I will be going back!!! The sauce to dip the bread in was CRACK!!!! Very addictive… The bolognese was truly authentic and my fiancé is SO PICKY ABOUT IT; I was wonderfully surprised that she loved it-The waitress and waiters were very attentive,friendly and professional.The vegetables were probably the weakest link but I must say we will be coming back for years! Thank you
Large portions for great prices! I love that they aren't cheap with the seafood, but I wish the white sauce had more depth. The red sauce, on the other hand, was yummy. I'll definitely be coming back for that.

A Hidden gem in the Ridgewood/Glendale area. Small restaurant but full of dishes with amazing flavors. Staff is very welcoming and I recommend the house wine. The sauce is made in house fresh, if you love food you will definitely appreciate Joe’s. I’m really happy with the food at Joe’s and when I visit my family and friends I will come to Joe’s for a nice dinner.
Wonderful local Italian restaurant. The food exceeded my expectations and the prices were great. Would rate 4.5 because of the bathrooms not being tidy according to my Italian mothers expectations lol, but value and taste is a 5. Will be returning.
The food was delicious. My spaghetti bolognese was everything I desired. My husband had the fettuccine alfredo and he said it was some of the best he’s had. Portions are generous, we will be back.
It doesn't get more Italian than this place. The pasta was fresh and the sauce was delicious. It wasn't too acidic and the meatball was perfectly seasoned. Definitely a must try! If you're planning on going, I suggest making a reservation ahead of time to skip the wait.
