A Mano

*A Mano = By Hand* Everything I’ve eaten here has shown attention to detail and some love as well, that’s the essence of great Italian food. Staff are polite, well groomed and efficient. Restaurant is well thought out, cozy and clean. The gorgeous Italian imported pizza ovens are a work of art and the pizzaiolos are skillful. The kitchen can produce all the classics plus a few original dishes that can impress the most informed eaters.

We have been coming to this restaurant for a few years and have always enjoyed the food. However, the past few times we have dined here the availability and quality of food has gone downhill. Several times they have been “out” of calamari, the cheese and additional toppings are minimal at best as well as the sauce on the pizza. We asked for a cup of gelato and they gave us a small glass with a half scoop that was pretty much all melted. Clearly they are trying to cut costs to maintain their business, but in reality they are turning customers away. Bathrooms were dirty and restaurant looks very run down. This was my last time dining at this restaurant, which is sad because it used to be a great family restaurant with great food.

Our family loves A Mano! My daughter has Celiac and is a very picky eater. A Mano’s gluten free pizza is her favorite food by a wide margin. The fact that A Mano has a separate oven for gluten free food makes us feel so much more comfortable than other places that have gluten free pizza. The owner, John, and the whole staff at A Mano have been great to our family and very sensitive to my daughter’s medical condition.

This is the best pizza I have ever had! There are wood burning pizza ovens, right in the center of the restaurant, that are imported from Italy. The pizza is delicious, thin crusted, and comes with a variety of toppings. (I recommend the Margarita Pizza) They also offer salads, pastas, and more. There is almost always no wait here. I recommend to every pizza lover!
