Review Kam Loon - Ridgeland

Uncooked chicken 😬So this was the second time I had this happen. When I went to address it with the owner said you say that “every time” I’ve eaten here for years and year and when I showed him the food he said it’s done we cooked it for 10 minutes that’s “just” how seseame chicken looks. I said can you just refund our money he said no it’s nothing I can do. YOU just don’t come here anymore. I’m like oh that was the last time ANYWAY. I’m like who wants to eat raw pink chicken. That’s disgusting. He said I don’t care. I left the food and will be getting a dispute through my bank. Waste of $30. Check your food before you bite into it!! I didn’t know you could eat chicken rare!! Ew.

Food is good. Service not so much. The worker yelled at me. Didn't know about price change (saying I should have known it was going to happen because of the pandemic is not a good reason. Notifying customers of changes is your job. Plus you not sounding surprised at people believing the prices on your google menu instead of the actual ones tells me you 1. Know of the problem and 2. Have done nothing to fix it still. So yes another price mix up happened). I altered my order because no I didn't think what I ordered was worth what you were asking. And no, I don't include you having to fix a mistake you made to my order because that was your doing. I was definitely frustrated at this point because this was not what I was expecting when I ordered, yet they were the only ones with an attitude. I was nice and calm the entire time.The attitude is what made me say nevermind. Being yelled at is why I'll never eat here again.

Worst experience I’ve ever had! If I could give them ZERO stars, I would. They are incredibly RUDE! The cook yelled at me when I KINDLY asked for a refund. Claimed they “don’t give refunds” and that I should’ve come back in the middle of a TORNADO to return it. I ordered the seafood plate with fried rice and orange chicken with lo mein. EVERYTHING tasted burnt and was completely INEDIBLE! I cannot believe they’re content serving this FILTH. Stay FAR AWAY from this establishment! Spend your money elsewhere. 👎🏼

We placed a to go order of general tso’s chicken, steamed dumplings, crabmeat cheese wontons, and chicken lo mein. My fiancé went to pick it up and was charged $40 for items that according to their menu, come out to roughly $23. Even with the inflated prices grub hub charges, it still doesn’t add up to $40! I understand everyone is trying to keep their business afloat but this is ridiculous. The lady kept speaking over me on the phone and we live maybe 4 minutes from this place and our food was cold when he got back. We will not be back.

This is my go to place for Lo Mein. This is probably the only thing I eat here. My kids love their sesame chicken and orange chicken with fried rice. And the cheese wontons are a hit. They also have some lunch specials during lunch time. They give a generous amount for the money.

Always friendly kitchen staff whether your the first customer of the day or the last. They do have a couple tables for eating in, but it's mostly run as a take out. Food is cooked to order, but quickly. The food quality is top notch. The food quantity is even better. Nice pricing. Not but a couple dollars more than your standard burger joint. I eat here regularly and the standards never waiver.(pictured below is the Moo Goo Gai Pan)

I really enjoy their food, which I mistakenly thought was Thai, it's actually very good Chinese. Definitely above expectations for a strip mall location. I will go there again.

Terrible experience. When I visited this restaurant to place a take-out order, the service was unacceptable. The lady at the counter had a very bad attitude. I thought to myself that she might just be having a bad day. A portion of the food that I ordered was not cooked well, and since the order was not cheap, I decided to return the portion that was not edible. When I returned and asked for it to be re-cooked or to get a refund, I was told no. There was a young girl at the counter to take the money, work the register and translate for her. When I asked how this could be remedied, they called a man from the back and he too said no, "No returns." He had a rude tone as well. I'm not sure if the business owners understand the principles of good customer service, but as a result of my experience, I had to write a review. When I took a picture of the food, she became angered and followed me out to my car and demanded that I give her my phone. This action was senseless and unacceptable. I know that my review may not make a difference to many, but this is one less dollar of financial support that this business, Kam Loon Chinese Restaurant, Ridgeland, MS, will get from me. We should treat others the way that we would like to be treated, not only personally, but professionally as well.

My sons and I love this place. Their favorites are sesame chicken (my former favorite) and general tso's chicken. My new favorite is the teriyaki chicken with shrimp fried rice. They give you so much food its incredible. The flavor and quality of the food never disappoints. Its always delicious and always hot & fresh. I've been getting food from here for years and I am always amazed when people in this area say they've never heard of it. Give Kam Loon a try today. Also, the egg drop soup is very good. Oh one more thing...recently they came up with a wings menu. The prices per wing can't be beat and they come in a variety of flavors including sesame seed and honey dip. Two thumbs up.

This place has been here since I was a little girl and it always has the best food! Quick service good people, and good price for the food and you get a lot of it!

Don't be fooled by the fact that Kam Loom looks like your average mall food court Chinese spot. This place is legit. Staring with the young lady who took my order. I didn't see Mongolian Beef on the menu, but she made it happen. My co-worker also asked for an item she didn't see and was taken care of. Next, the food itself is great. Fresh ingredients. Just the right amount of sauce. It's not hard to see why there are so many positive reviews!

Great little Chinese restaurant! Food made to order, fast service. Beef lo mein and cheese wontons are my go-to's. Daily lunch buffet specials are a great deal too

Extremely Pleased 2/28/2015. First timer! My family just finished the Lo Mein Chicken, Kung Po Shrimp, Combination Rice and Shrimp Egg Rolls. Affordable and there are enough leftovers for another meal. Best take out that I can remember in years. You can tell how hard this couple works to put out fast/quality food with a smile. I just found a gem right under my doorsteps!

Satisfied the need for Chinese food.. Generous portions, four dishes ordered and two containers of white rice received and tortillas. The vegy dish I received was not good, seemed greasy. LoMein noodles were similiar to spagetti noodles although, tasty. With so many restaurants to choose from locally, will not be back.

Good Chinese. Tastes great, friendly service, and lots of food per order (even with the combo plates). My only problem is that they need to change their printed/posted hours. I have stopped by at 12:15pm two Sunday's in a row to pick up a quick meal and there is no one there and the lights are out.

Decent Chinese takeout.. One of the few Chinese takeout places around Ridgeland that has roast pork.

Mmmmmmmmm. I love the chicken in garlic sauce! delicious! Reasonable prices make it a GREAT lunch spot. Call it in, pick it up, and enjoy!

Great Service and Great Food. This place is located near my job (.4 away)....and is so great! They do a wonderful job with their food and are very speedy! This is a great choice!

Good place to order from. Food is cooked after you order but very quickly. The person taking your order is always nice and you get in and out quickly. I definitely enjoy ordering from here
