Cook Out

This place has great food - it's why I keep coming back every month - but BE SURE TO CHECK IT BEFORE YOU LEAVE! I don't know what it is with this store, but 40% of the time my order is wrong in some way. Most of the time the order is taken properly, it's just not prepared properly. Maybe the left off a requested vegetable or sauce. Or maybe they forgot one of the two sides to your tray. Or maybe, like this past weekend, they gave you a burger instead of the requested barbecue grilled chicken. Each visit is a surprise in that way. The only thing consistent about this place is their inconsistency. I'd like to say this is the result of a new employee or two. But it's been an ongoing issue since they closed their indoor dining space. At this point, it's clearly a management issue.

Let me just say I have never, ever, been more pleased in a fast food burger joint then I was at Cook Out! The food was delicious and the drive through worker was kind and funny! He definitely made the meal that much better. I had never thought to put Chilli on a burger until after eating here and now I'm gonna have to do it more often! I give Cook Out a 10/10(5 stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)

Be warned this restaurant still does not have dine in (thanks covid). That's fine but their website should indicate that. After we ordered and overpaid, we were told that the sign at the walk up window is not correct and prices are higher. They don't print receipts so we aren't sure what we were charged for. Sign said 5.69 plus tax. Charged over 7. (Not much, but it's the principle). Our order was wrong. What we did receive was not like the past. Small pre-made patty instead of a fresh burger. 2 stars instead of 1 because the food was hot and the girl at the window was pleasant.

Perfect portions at a great price. We're traveling and don't need leftovers. Sick Chicken sandwich, strips, fries, and byrger were all perfect. The business was only open for drive thru and walk up orders when we went. Slight bummer we didn't have bathroom access for the kids, but we went next door to the Shell station for gas and restrooms.
