Review Noodles And Friends - Richmond

This place is inside the Grand Supermarket in West Broad Street. You have plenty of selection of Korean food and as always is very delicious. You placed your order and choose where you’ll seat and once the food is ready they’ll call you and after you finished eating you put you’re plates in the cart. They also have a variety of delicious pastries.

Took a little while to actually find this place. So if your going it's located inside The New Grand Mart, basically the international grocery store. You have to be really paying attention to see their signage. So with being said once you enter, there seating area is o the right side. Looks like the old deli area. They have number of tables set up. At the counter they have lots of pictures of their dishes. You give your order at the counter and then when ready they'll call you up. The food is absolutely delicious! We ordered a few different items, but came to try their Korean Fried Chicken. It comes almost like a chicken lollipop in a sweet sauce. Also got some bulgogi...Yum!, dumplings and some shrimp fried rice. Everything was fantastic! Doesn't take very long to get, comes nice and hot. Then which is pretty cool is to just walk around the store afterwards. Check out the fruit-vegetables area. You can see some pretty cool looking things you might have never seen before. It's a great place to eat.

This little eatery is located in the food mart and is definitely worth checking out. There is not only a board of options of traditional Korean dishes, but bakery offerings in front of the counter as well. The staff is friendly and service is quick.

Whenever we shop at Grand Mart and are feeling hungry, we’ll stop by Noodles and Friends (the in-store Korean restaurant) to grab a bite. The food is visually appealing and physically satisfying! The last time we dined here, we ordered Omurice and a sweet/sour pork dish (that I can’t remember the name of) and both were incredibly delicious!

Always great experience here. Not your usual restaurant location. Its inside the Korean supermarket. It is self served. The food is always great and you actually can see them cooking your order. I think it has a lot of value especially for lunch break. One advice from me especially in the spring or summer when we all mostly wear short sleeves, the place is vey well cooled so you might feel little bit chilly here. You want probably take with you some long sleeve hoodie or sweatshirt. Other than this i would come here again.

Visited here for lunch with my father; I got bulgogi, he got the spicy pork (40 and 41 on the menu, respectively). The bulgogi was delicious, the beef was tender and very slightly sweet, the pork was very tender and just spicy enough. The young lady who helped us at the counter was very polite and the food was served promptly. Strongly recommend getting a bite to eat here the next time you pass through!

Best Korean in the area. Regularly come here, try something new each time, always impressed. Especially good is the grilled mackerel combo, and you cant go wrong with the jjam jja myun combo.

My wife and I had lunch here before shopping at New Grand mart. We both had an order of the chicken katsu and shared an order of fried dumplings. The katsu came with rice, sauce and a small set of banchan. Everything was really yummy, and even though it was a lot of food it didn’t leave us feeling overly full. The food is a little bit expensive but it all tasted fresh, and portions were generous so it get worth the price.

I only gave the atmosphere 3 stars but that's only cuz I got my food to go

This is authentic Korean food. It is not uncommon to find eateries within markets, in the Korean culture. This is not fine dining, but a quick and delicious place to grab lunch or dinner. Dumplings are not store bought and the food is cooked from scratch. The lady who works the counter is friendly and courteous. There may be a language barrier but realize this is not your neighborhood Kroger. There are pictures of the food items along with a menu. And even if the lady cannot explain the menu items, there are patrons who can assist. Coming from Baltimore where there are several Korean markets, I am happy that this market opened in Glen Allen. Along with the grocery market, there is a fresh seafood section, where you can buy fresh fish at great prices. Try it with an open mind and you will definately enjoy the experience.
