If you’re thinking of ordering pizza from a chain, order from here instead. Pricing is in line with Domino’s (not cheap but fair), but the quality is in line with Papa John’s (above average).
Their dough is robust without being tough. The marinara has a nice tomato flavor, without being overly sweet or spicy. Everything was perfectly cooked. I’m only passing through on business, but I’ll be happy to come back if I come back this way. If you live nearby, you’re lucky.

We have only ever ordered takeout from Sparrows but it is always delicious, on time, has all ordered items, and the portions are incredibly generous. They are the only pizza restaurant for us when we just want a good old classic pizza. Shout out for their salads which are huge and always fresh and the Raspberry Cheesecake, so delicious.

I've ordered a couple of times from them in the past month after a friend suggested them, and the pizzas have been perfect. Generous toppings, good sauce and a perfect crust. They'll be my go-to for pizza from here on out. Better than any chain!

Ordered through their website for pickup. I arrived about 20 minutes from ordering during weekend dinner hours and it was ready when I arrived. Overall, food was good, hot, and fast; garlic knots had lots of fresh, biting raw garlic bits (might be better if it were cooked/browned in butter to take away some of the bite). That said, I appreciated the amount of garlic butter and parsley topping on the garlic knots. When I arrived, I saw lots of dough rising/being prepped nearby-- so you know the pizza is as fresh as it gets! 🙂 Employees were friendly when I picked up my order. It is worth noting that nobody was wearing masks.

I got the Greek and my boyfriend got the meat lovers with extra pepperoni and it was very good. Crust was perfectly cooked and the ingredients all tasted pretty fresh. Would definitely come back again.

Visiting from Canada, and a friend treated me to a Supreme medium pizza from Sparrow’s. By far one of the best Supremes Ive tasted. You could really taste the different layers of meat. Definitely now my go-to pizza parlour whenever I am in Richmond.

After walking past this place many times, we decided to give it a whirl tonight! We should have done it much sooner!! We ordered garlic knots and a large white pizza. We were absolutely amazed at the quality of the pizza and the garlic knots are truly a treasure!! The closest thing to NY pizza we've had in the 6 years we've been back in Richmond!! I can't believe we walked by so many times without stopping! Won't do that again! Bravo team:) � � � � �

I love Sparrow's! My favorite pizza in Richmond. My family is from NY, and it's been hard to find a pizza worth eating here. Sparrow's does not disappoint! Mike is serious about offering a fresh, great pizza. When he says the ingredients are fresh, this is not a play on words! He's standing in front of me buying green peppers as I type this! If you want to get away from factory-folded-and-baked pizza and eat something you know is real (and real good)-- Sparrow's is the place.

Very good pizza! Have had it a couple times and really enjoyed it. Only suggestion is go back to the breaded chicken strips on the chicken bacon ranch, it was amazing! The not breaded chicken version just ok...
