Very nice, classy location. Kinda has a cellar look to it, but in a nice way. Very warm atmosphhere. HUGE selection of wines. I got a Rosé and a CabSav, both were very good a flavorful! Im here at the poetry and jazz night, very trendy and artful. Awesome venue, i recommend it!

Simple rustic decor. Friendly staff. The evening I was there , a poetry music live event was on session. Would be a regular for that if a local.

Being a wine bar the oinic offerings are superb. The pleasant surprise is that the tapas is terrific. My table was there for a poetry and jazz evening. And the al fresco event was amazing. C'est la vie à C'est le vin!

The name is now The Len. It is black and woman owned. Beautiful space for classy events.

A very quaint environment. I was there for Thursday night poetry and wine. Unbeknownst to me, it is better to make reservations so that you have a table or even room to really get comfortable. We were seated with a friendly couple so it made it a little better. The riesling they serve was amazing. Everything I ordered was good. Portion sizes are quite small for the price but such is life when fine dining. If I return it's only to have another glass of wine and hope for better seating so that I can really unwind and get comfortable. This is really a three and half star rating but since I cant do that the wine pushed it to four.

I stopped in after work just trying to find a bar to drown my work ethics in. I was quite surprised to find that this place had a live jazz band, the owner actually speaks french and isn't just using a french name as a way to draw a certain crowd in. The atmosphere and the vibe is so amazing we practically chatted with everyone who had come in tonight. Super comfortable laid back place. It's almost like one of those places on television. I'm surprised it wasn't more crowded being that it's so welcoming. And don't even get me started on my bartender Jackie! She was a great conversationalist and was great at making suggestions! I tipped her over 20% and wish I had more to give. Seriously this place is IT if you're into a mellow place to vibe. Entire staff was friendly as well! I didn't have a meal from the limited food menu but the bread and butter for $2 was PHENOMENAL!!!!!! Can't wait to go back!

Our first visit exceeded expectations. The atmosphere was somehow artistic and unpretentious. The staff was exceptional. The food was interesting and tasty. We were there for a poetry reading that was interesting and stimulating. The wine choices were diverse but affordable. We will return.

Great wine bar! The staff is really knowledgeable on the wines offered. The food is made to order, fresh, and flavorful. Our favorite after work Friday spot.

C’est Le Vin is a decent tapas place on Main Street Plaza in the Shockoe Hill/Bottom area of Richmond. It’s a stone’s throw from the Main Street train station and has both indoor & patio seating available. The food was a solid 4/5 - we tried the bread basket, garlic shrimp, hush puppies, goat cheese stuffed peppers, chicken empanadas, and bruschetta and most of the dishes tasted nice! The hush puppies themselves were a bit oily (Southern, fried food, right?) and the peppers were a bit too acidic, but the rest of the food was quite enjoyable! The service was good and they were out if the Blintz that we desperately wanted to try for dessert! Still, a must-recommend for anyone visiting that area in Richmond.

Great service. Good food and wine selection. Amazing staff. A great spot for a date or to catch up with friends. I've also been for events and they do a lovely job with large groups.

Very nice, relaxed atmosphere. Nice wine selection. I was not a fan of the wines in their pour menu but you can choose any wine on their wall and pay a corkage fee and drink it there. The owner and staff are helpful and friendly

I can't say enough great things about Rosie Connolly's which is the best part of Cest Le Vin--it's right across from it!  As we waited at Cest--a wine and tapas bar that got our Pinot and Cab mixed up in bringing it to us, we wondered what would be next.  We put in an order for some polenta and olives.  Watching the only other two people there that night who had been there a good 45 mins before us, we learned our polenta and olives would take a while as the kitchen was backed up.  The other couple got a dish about 10 minutes later, and maybe 25 mins after that our flavorless, lumpy polenta arrived with about 2 cups of olives.  Kind of speechless why the olives maybe didn't come out sooner, but luckily the whole experience afforded us the ability to check out quickly and proactively and head over to Rosie's to have amazing Irish beers and some delicious fries with gravy--served, eaten, settled in about 20 minutes.  Rosie's is amazing! Lastly--on our way out of Cest, I thought i saw them bringing a lovely candelabra out to an outdoor patron--upon closer look it was a hookah, so i guess wine+tapas+hookah is a thing! Must be off menu--be sure to ask!

Everything listed on their page was not on the menu. Was extremely disappointed at food selections. This is not a Spanish tapas restaurant!!

This isy second visit and both times have been fabulous. I can not describe the food as we had over ten different tapas plates. Every one was fabulous and the portions were unbelievably large. This place is a must. If you are lucky you will get the guitar player as your entertainment.

Every single plate in this place is fabulous. We've been twice , ordered different dishes each time, and not one of probably 20 different choices has disappointed. I bring my college aged son and his friends and they chow down on everything we get. Not cheap but great value for what you get. Highly recommended.

So-so. The service was good but my fiance and I were the only ones in the restaurant. The food was okay, nothing to rave about. I doubt I will revisit.

Wine, food and so much more. A night after work, tapas with friends or a drink after running errands on the weekend...C'est le vin is the place to go. The food is really fresh, flavorful and unique. The wine selection is amazing and you will definitely find something you like even if you are not a wine drinker. This is a great place to relax and I always feel comfortable when I go there. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the selection available in food and in wine. You will be able to try something new each time you go there, but here are some of my favorites... the bruschetta, chicken empanadas, steak skewers, broiled artichokes and the meatballs. 3 or 4 small tapas make an amazing meal or you can share them between friends, but I have a feeling once you try one you make not want to share.
