Absolutely, hands down, the best Banh Mi sandwich I have ever had. The baguette was fresh and crispy on the outside, soft and absorbent of all of the pork belly juices on the inside. The ingredients are freshly prepared in house, and there is neither too much nor too little on the sandwich itself. Expertly prepared food, super nice people running this small establishment. I will absolutely be returning.

I came here with my girlfriend and we both loved it! There's no place to sit and eat apart from the single picnic table outside, but it wasn't an issue. The food was phenomenal and the employees were very friendly. The quantity of food was great for the price. I had the pork belly sandwich and she had the Cuban, they both came with salads and we only spent $20.

Fantastic service, friendly and welcoming. The sandwiches were unique, the potato salad excellent, and the cucumber gazpacho extremely tasty. Overall, though, the flavors were not that memorable and the decor left something to be desired. Certainly satisfying, but not mind blowing.

All time favorite sandwich shop in Richmond. The owners are sweet as pie - they always remember me even if it's been awhile since my last visit. I love the seasonal sandwiches, as well as the year round staples. There is no wrong choice to be made here, everything is absolutely delicious!

We were looking for a local sandwich shop since we were new to the area. We decided on the naked onion. We are so glad we did. We had two bahn mi sandwiches and the veggie mozzarella. They did not disappoint, were flavorful, and out of this world. The owners couldn't have been nicer. We spoke to them for about 20 minutes about the up and coming culinary scene and offered great tips for tourists in Richmond.

Love the take out only concept and execution of this place. The sandwiches are as dank as a sandwich can be.
My personal favorites are the Bahn-mi and the Cuban (get jalapeños added for no charge!) and I enjoy the simple side salad.
The staff has always been friendly and if you call ahead your order will be ready for pickup.

Came here on a whim. Their sweet potato banh mi was so good. I did the half sandwich and soup combo, but I wish I got the full sandwich. The lady at the counter was helpful and nice.
Be aware this is a hole in the wall place. So if you're looking to sit down and enjoy your meal on a rainy day, you're out of luck. Husband and I ended up eating in our car. Even though that sucked it was worth it!

The pork belly Bahn Mi was amazing! We decided to eat in the truck around the corner rather than brave the heat at the lone picnic table outside. I'm seriously considering going back and ordering another one to save for dinner.

A friend told me that I had to experience the Bahn mi sandwich at The Naked Onion. It took me months to get there but, WOW! Experience was the appropriate word! When I sat in my car and had the first taste, I felt that I should either go back into the shop and thank them or call everyone I knew to tell them about the sandwich I was experiencing. I'm not exaggerating. It is probably the best sandwich I've ever had. It was as if every single ingredient was carefully and intentionally juxtaposed perfectly with each other and that no other bread could be used for this effect. Like I said before, this is more of an experience than a sandwich. Did I say the word Spiritual?

A must if you are getting lunch in Richmond. The Pork belly bahn mi sandwich is one of the best sandwiches I've ever had in my life. The Pork belly practically melts in your mouth and is cooked to perfection , with a perfect compliment of cilantro, daikon, and sauce.

Super yummy! I got the veggie bahn mi and that sweet potato + garlic aoili was amazing together. I got it without jalepeno since I'm not a spice person. The potato salad was also delish. The owners are also awesome and they have the sweetest little boy!!

The Naked Onion has dang good chow! - they craft each thing and source locally! It's not a $6 sandwich, it's a treat for me. I love the turkey sandwich, the banh mi, and they make the only bread pudding I've really enjoyed chowing down on (I got it to share with my sister and really enjoyed it.)

The most popular option is definitely the Bag Mi (get the pork belly) but all of their sandwiches are great. Small table out front if the weather is nice, but I wouldn't plan on eating at the store

The Naked Onion catered our Christmas party and did a phenomenal job. The sandwiches were unique and so delicious, the feedback at the party was overwhelming on how much everyone enjoyed them! We would certainly use them again and highly recommend them.
