Only complaint is that they serve shoestring French fries. Then again, you don't really have room for a lot of fries.

Everything was amazing! It seemed like it was slow when we went in, but it picked up really quick. Jamie was an amazing server! The calamari, Luisiana Mac and the Mac and cheese sandwich was amazing!!!! I would recommend getting the Mac and cheese sandwich, it was my boyfriend and I’s FAVORITE!!!!

Here on a Weds night, they have half off on small plates. Had the fried mac n cheese, poutine fries and bao buns, all pretty good. Collard greens were good too!

The food is absolutely amazing and the workers are very friendly! I know that many people only review restaurants when they are mad about slow service or some other minor issue, but this place is one of the few restaurants that really blew my mind in terms of food quality/taste/menu options. I’ll be satisfied and say the food is “good” at many restaurants but my first meal here included a few things that were the “best I’ve ever had,” including the collard greens.
It was slow the first night I came in and the bartender was nice enough to talk to my party for quite some time and was very personable. I would give him a shout out on here personally but that was six months ago and admittedly I have forgotten his name, but the customer service end was great as well.
I’m not a major foodie or “semi-pro” restaurant reviewer, but Metro really stands above other experiences in the area. Visually, it has cool, but fairly common, “local neighborhood restaurant and bar” vibe to it but in my experience there was nothing “common” about the food here. So I count myself lucky to live nearby.

A great place to meet friends for brunch on a Sunday. We were seated right away. Reasonably priced drinks and craft beers. Good menu selection with very reasonable prices. I ordered gravy and sausage biscuits with 2 eggs. Awesome. Also had an excellent bloody Mary. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit here.

I had been at a Classical RVA concert with a friend and we were looking for a place we hadn't dined at before and was open late on a Sunday night. A Google search lead us to Metro Bar and Grill. What a great find! A great experience! The food was amazing and unexpected. Flavor combinations leaving us wanting more. Pub food elevated to the art of good eating.
Greg, our server and manager, couldn't have been more friendly, accommodating, or caring for the customer. A terrific place that also serves weekend brunch and will be my choice for my next brunch! Add the Metro to your new must try places to dine and brunch!

Metro- is a great bar, First of all they have one of the best happy hour deals in all of Richmond.
Kevin- There owner is top notch- I've never seen an owner more in touch with their bar. He makes you feel like your part of the Metro bar atmosphere whether your a first time customer or just a regular.
I threw a 30th birthday party for my wife there it they crushed it, The bar staff as well as the cooks put on quite a show. The food was incredible as well as the service and music. I highly suggest them as a place to throw a private party. Working with Kevin an his staff was so easy, They made my wife's party an awesome experience and if I was to do to it all over I wouldn't change a thing. Nonetheless Metro is a great bar that offers multiple situations to have fun whether its karaoke on Thursday night or just a great place to watch the game. I highly suggest to anyone whether your new or just a regular Richmond person to have a drink or enjoy their incredible food. I can tell you confidently Im not steering your wrong, Go enjoy yourself there.

The night I went, the special was half off small plates. My plan was cheeseburger and fries, so instead I got Metro style sliders, poutine and fried mozzarella just because. The sliders were tasty, with cheese and grilled onions on brioche rolls. I don't know if the poutine was authentic but it tasted good as well, although it could have spent a little more time heating as some of the cheese curds were still cold. The fried mozzarella balls were not the frozen cheese sticks I expected, which was nice, but the recipe and/or process needs some tweaks. While the flavor was good the breading was very thin and they managed to be soggy, which I didn't expect. The Metro is a typical Fan bar with better than average food. It gets very loud inside as the evening progresses.

Had the wings. They were very good. I asked the kitchen to make them ridiculously spicy and they didn't disappoint. The atmosphere is classic Fan/Museum District cozy and the staff was all very friendly.

I came down to Redskins training camp. My father, brother, and I were looking for a place showing the Nationals game on a west coast swing that stayed open past 11 pm which happens to be rare in Richmond. A Google search turned up the Metro which was open to 1 am. We were immediately greeted and served by the bartender and owner of this establishment. We received nothing but great food, fast and friendly service. The place was very clean as was the bathrooms. They offer a great sports viewing experience as well with 5 HD TV's that can be seen from anywhere. If you're looking for a great atmosphere, great food, and friendly service, and happen to be in Richmond, VA then Metro Grill is a must! We will definitely be making it a part of our annual trip down here!

BRUNCH! Do it. The food is really well done. Try the Southern Eggs Benedict--Shrimp, Andouille, two poached eggs with caramelized onions and peppers and a spicy hollandaise on great bread. Service was great and so were the Bloody Marys.
