An intimate venue to hear some top notch musicians. Was amazing to see the Blackbyrds live in Richmond, VA. The last time I saw them was at the Carter Baron Ampitheater in Rock Creek Park back in the 70's. They still sound great.

The Tin Pan is truly a gem for the Richmond area. Have attended several times and have found the atmosphere, the seating, the service, and the actual performances to be strong. Musical acts seem to be fairly diverse (but would argue for more celtic; blues; cajun/zydeco; bluegrass; and mixed folk) and represent a range of well-known to fairly obscure. Could recommend specific acts but am guessing that management works long and hard on booking, and are well aware of the options. As others have mentioned, the menu is not strong - particularly if one attends fairly often. Menu changes, including having 'specials' consistently, would be nice. Prices - for both the acts and the food - seem okay.

My husband and I attended the sold-out All Star Purple Party Show last Saturday night. It was fantastic!! We all started chanting at the end of the second set because we didn't want the show to end. The band did not disappoint; they came back on stage and performed two more songs. Please bring the All Star Purple Party back next year.

i have seen 2 shows here,Eric Andersen and John Sebastian , and both were great! Sound system is superb and service and staff are wonderful.Sebastian was a little cranky but the show was still very entertaining!

The Lonely Heartstring Band (feat. Neon Moon) played awesome music as two separate but very complimentary, Musical groups with great chemistry and harmonies. The dinner was oh so good, I had the pulled pork, black bean, rice and potato fried chimmicanga which was a special on the menu this night and it was teriffic!

First time attending Tin Pan and will return. The Mike Phillip show was an amazing performance and it was more than I expected from a jazz artist. He put on amazing performance especially at the end having the crowd on their feet dancing. Service was excellent.
