Absolutely lovely date night place. You get your money's worth here! My date and I both got sushi, I ended up splurging for the Rockfish, and we shared the fresh-baked bread and the lava cake for dessert. The server was absolutely PHENOMENAL and it was her first day as a server in general! Got a seat on the first floor right next to the fireplace. Doesn't feel too crowded, not too casual - perfect for a semi-fancy anniversary dinner. 10/10.

We came here for a graduation celebration, and were not disappointed. The restaurant has two levels, divided into several areas that are all charming and cozy. Everything we had, from appetizers, cocktails, entrees, and dessert, was outstanding in taste, and presentation. Our server was attentive and friendly, as was the staff. This place is a must visit when in Virginia!

This is one of our favorite places! The restaurant is absolutely stunning and comfortable and the staff is amazing. We have been here numerous times and never had a bad experience. The scallops melt in your mouth and their octopus appetizer is out of this world. We get it every time we go. Their steak and sushi is also fabulous. Can't recommend this place enough!

Everything spot on. Had Joe as a server and he was very attentive and quite knowledgeable of their Wine List. We made a reservation, got there an hour early and was immediately seated. Go check them out.

Very nice local spot. Nice choice of meals. We’ll portioned. Wait staff is sharp, profession and knowledgeable ref the menu.
Food it great. Could a bit more seasoning but worth the visit. A must eat if you are on Carey Street:)

This was a great spot with awesome food. The oysters were top notch and the crab cake was really delicious with complex flavor some places don't have.
Great service at the bar as well.

Great service! Alex was great!! He is so pleasant and we enjoyed him a lot!!! The drinks were pretty awesome and the atmosphere is so romantic. Loved it. My food was just OK the Kale Caesar was good. but my boyfriend loved his meal. Another review mentioned the flavors just not being there… that’s how I’d describe My meal. My boyfriends soup was good and flavorful tho. I guess it depends on what you order. My rainbow roll was just missing that flavor. But again, Alex was awesome!! This was a recommendation from the African American museum as a Black owned business. And I love to support!!!

Wow. This is officially my current favorite restaurant in Richmond! We ordered the Tuna Tacos, West Coast Roll, Fried Oysters, and Cucumber-Berry Mojito (per the recommendation of our waitress). Everything was absolutely delicious. The tacos were packed with flavor and I loved the notes of sesame oil in it. The ingredients in the roll meshed together perfectly. The yellowtail was super flavorful and paired nicely with the spiciness of the jalapeno. The cucumber-berry cocktail was probably the best cocktail I've ever had! To be fair, I haven't tried many cocktails yet, but out of all the ones I've tried so far this has been the best one. The service was great considering how busy it was. Our waitress was very sweet, attentive, and helpful despite how overwhelmed she seemed at times! It's safe to say I will definitely be returning.

Got the oysters, mussels, and burger sliders. All were amazing. My favorite, though, was the sliders. I’ve never had a burger before with so much flavor. The sliders are a must have for any one visiting!

Yesterday my wife and I decided to try East Coast Provisions. Boy are we happy we did! It seems there are so many restaurants that are lacking in service or quality these days that its a great thing to find a gem that delivers. East Coast Provisions is that gem. We sat in the front window not far from the cozy fireplace. The sever was friendly and attentive. She made my cranberry spritzer herself and it was visually beautiful, with a fresh wedge of lime on the rim. The food that we ordered was great and it's the little details that add up. We started with the grilled oysters appetizer (five to a plate was our only disappointment because it was the two of us) - they were perfectly cooked and delicious. I ordered the blackened chicken sandwich with french fries. ECP has some of the best french fries we've had in a long time - they came out hot and properly seasoned. The chicken breast was nicely seasoned (not too salty or spicy, but just right) and was cooked perfectly so that it was still moist and juicy. The arugula on the sandwich was extremely fresh without any brown ends as is so common with restaurant greens these days. Even the winter tomato slice wasn't bad. Brioche bun was very good. My wife had the Crunchy (Shrimp) Sushi Roll and absolutely loved it. She raved about it several times during the meal. She even liked the sliced, pickled ginger that came with it, which she rarely touches at most sushi places. All in all we loved our experience at ECP. I noticed that the hostess made it a point to visit with one of the regulars (an older gentleman) for a few minutes who was dining solo to see how he was doing and what he had been up to. I think her kindness made his day!

Absolutely amazing food at a reasonable price. We got the octopus appetizer, which was heavenly; Simple but delicious flavors combined with elegant presentation. For our entrees, I got the scallops and she got the seared salmon. We were both very happy. We also saw a lot of other dishes on the tables around us that looked equally fantastic. This restaurant offers truly gourmet food at a relatively affordable price. After having been only once, this is already our new favorite restaurant in the Richmond area.

Wonderful food and great service. Had the seardd salmon with shaved Brussel sprouts. Really, really good. Daughter had shrimp and grits, with oysters on half shell to start. Said hers was fantastic.

Possibly my favorite restaurant in Richmond and definitely the best seafood around. Great cocktails, quality food and nice atmosphere while never pretentious. Love the sushi, oysters, steak and fries, sashimi, grouper, fish tacos and desserts. Literally, I've enjoyed everything here. Salads were huge and nice portions for the price. I prefer this to West Coast Provisions but it's nice to have a good option in the west end. I love to sit in the upstairs lounge by the fireplace!

Will definitely be back. Tucker was our server , he was friendly and attentive. The food is amazing! We had octopus …the way it’s prepared! The flavor hits your taste buds and fried calamari was drizzled with a light sauce. I had the lobster roll and my boyfriend had the lobster with Broccolini potatoes. The drinks had the right amount of punch and the wine suggested went along with dinner well

Great service, comfortable with a good atmosphere. We had yellow tail crudo, raw oysters, lobster risotto, and blackened mahi. I was pleased with the meal and will return.

We are here from San Antonio. I'm a pretty basic eater with a large group of people. The food was great, service was amazing. Had the angus burger and fries. Matt was awsome. Definitely recommend! Portions are large even the desert was amazing! Thank you guys for the great experience.

Very good dining experience. Had grilled oysters, which were good but had so much Parmesan it was difficult to taste the oysters - the dish was still tasty, but I like oysters. Kale Cesar salad with a proper house made dressing. I had rockfish and polenta with blanched asparagus salad (or something close to this). It was very good - probably a 4.5/5 dish. Our waitstaff was attentive and pleasant. I preferred the atmosphere early on in our meal - by the latter half, it was very loud. Would certainly return and recommend to others.

Everybody who works there is amazing, I love the way they serve the meals also meals are deliciosossssssss ( delicious)

Second time here, and again, was great. Waiter was personable and really seemed to enjoy being there. Knowledgeable and attentive.
I ordered off the Richmond Restaurant Week menu, while others in my party ordered off the regular.
The corn crab miso soup was amazing. Smooth and full of flavor. I seriously considered licking the bowl!
Great vegetables accompanied all the entrees. Fish cooked to perfection.
The Butterscotch pudding with real scotch was also bowl-licking worthy!
A little loud, but not to the point of not being able to carry on a conversation.

I used to work for Jared and Michelle so I've wanted to try all their restaurants . I must say they have successfully accomplished the restaurant business! First off our bartender Jessie was amazing! She was very attentive! My friend had the oysters which were phenomenal, their was 5 monster oysters and they were perfectly prepared. I had the calamari , it was a big portion and they were amazing as well. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was really cool and laid back. They also have clean restrooms and I'm big on that . I think the way a restaurant keeps a bathroom says a lot about a place. I would recommend everyone to try it!

This was the third time we've been; the food, the beautiful seafood, the unique cocktails, and the service never fail to delight. The regular dishes, like the octopus tartare and the smoked salmon with the scotch egg and capers, are just so good that we can't resist getting them each time we go. I got "The Beach" special this past Friday night. The presentation was wonderful; so many flavors, so many colors - it was a natural work of art! I highly recommend this place. You will NOT be disappointed!

We went with friends during Restaurant Week in Richmond. Love the atmosphere. Our waiter, Matt, was a friendly young man who was attentive and helpful when ordering everything. I ate my first souchi by mistake. Thought it was going to be something like egg roll. No matter it was very good. My main course was Blackened Mahi with black eyed peas and corn salad. Loved the presentation and taste was great. The dessert I selected was a blueberry tart. It was okay. Not the best dessert but certainly not the worst. It is tempting to give this a 5 but the noise level was very high. Made higher when some people were seated next to us and they were so loud our conversation was tough. Our waiter apologized for the noise but it was not his fault. It showed me he was aware of the noise even though he couldn’t do anything about it. I’d go back and just hope for quieter night.

Karl seated us in a lovely booth upstairs for late night snacks and wine after a political rally. The food was amazing, and our server was attentive without hovering. I devoured the super-creamy crab & corn soup, one friend had the kale Caesar salad, and the other friend enjoyed a sushi roll.
Pam Mills
The food was delicious. The atmosphere was fabulous. And our server arianna was the very best!!! Happy hour selections rocked!!!!

Attended the special event for the FFF week. Every dish was excellent and the service was terrific. Have now dined at East Coast four times and it is at the top of my list for seafood restaurants in Richmond

Amazing food, service & atmosphere!! I have never been disappointed eating here. The outside patio is awesome to sit and have one of their amazing cocktails on.

Got a last minute reservation after the matinee showing of Elf yesterday. Our party had 2 orders of fried oysters, 2 sides of aligot potatoes, 2 6oz filet dinners and an ECP burger with truffle fries. Everyone LOVED their meals. I had the burger and even though ECP is billed as a seafood restaurant the chef makes an outstanding burger. The horseradish aioli makes a great dipping sauce for the fries too. We will defintely be back.

Celebrated our Anniversary at the number one seafood restaurant in Richmond. The service was outstanding the food was incredible. We recommend to all Seafood lovers.
Becky McNeer
We ate hear this past weekend for our anniversary dinner. The atmosphere was perfect: cozy and welcoming. The oysters were really good. We followed the recommendations of the bartender and were pleased with her suggestion! We ate a bunch of small plates and would do it again... The crab stack was a bit disappointing, but not enough to ruin the meal. We'll be back!
Scott Pitts
Exceptional staff and service. Food and drink menus are both very diverse. A must on the Richmond restaurant scene.

Had a delicious lunch out door on their patio. Love their decor and the service was great!! Can't wait for West Coast Provisions to open soon and Short Pump!
Jo Longo
I wanted to simply add a peice of salmon and they said they had to charge me the entree price...$23 for one peice of salmon?? Do better.
