Excellent food! As others have mentioned, the place (building) is old, and not flashy. But I didn't come for glitz, I came to eat. Ordered Hopes Lo Mein, House special fried rice, egg rolls, cheese won-tons and egg drop soup . EVERYTHING WAS AWESOME! Price was reasonable and they even tossed in 2 free egg rolls for $25+ order. Only issue I had is that 2 of the 4 egg rolls were over cooked (basically the free ones). I would recommend and I will be back. Tasted like true authentic Chinese food to me, not that stuff swimming in sauces that make your next trip the bathroom! Honestly the only reason I came here for the first time was the reviews, and they are right - EXCELLENT FOOD! (lost 1 star for the overdone egg rolls, otherwise would have been 5!)
We get to Hope's 5-6 times per year for take out and it's always worth the trip. Always get the same order: Lemon Grass Chicken and Singapore Rice Noodles. LOVE THEM!! Try the fried rice and egg rolls too. Very friendly staff who are always happy to see you. They really fill the containers so you'll have plenty of great leftovers. :-)
The food was very fresh. Made to order. It was so hot when we got home, we could barely take it out of the box. Eddie, the waiter/cashier is really friendly. The new owners have really turned this place into a great restaurant/takeout place.
What a great lunch special. Choice of 2 entrees, chicken wings, egg roll, wontons, soup. All good food for only $7.50. Great service, loved our waiter.
Love Hope's Silver Spoon. I grew up across the street and it is still one of the best and authentic Chinese restraunts I've ever had. Very unassuming- The owners always remember you & I am always impressed!
Awesome food. They Seem to have a lot of "to go" business. Interior is old but you can't beat the food. Great price and you get a lot for your money.
The best Chinese food I've found near Richfield or Bloomington, by far! Grand Szechuan is ok, but this place is cheaper and better, along with great service.
