Alamo Draft House

This is one of my favorite places to watch movies. There are places with bigger and better screens, but Alamo has a great menu of concessions and food to order. I have mostly only had the bottomless gourmet popcorn and soft drinks, but they have a good selection off beer on tap and a full bar. I don't like to eat in the dark so I can't speak to most of the menu, but what I've tried has been good. They have the best service I've had at one of these types of theaters. The best thing about this theater is they enforce laws against talking or being on the phone. If someone is being annoying you can discretely inform staff by writing about it on the pad you use to order refills during the movie. They'll usually give someone one warning before ejecting them, but I've only seen it happen once in the many times I've come here. They have a loyal clientele who know the rules. Last but not least, they have the least obnoxious pre movie entertainment - fun trivia about the movie, often short subjects, and virtually no ads. It's worth coming a little early.

Not a bad overall experience here seeing Top Gun Maverick! This was my first time and I thought it was a fairly nice facility. The only thing I would change is the seats, they could be nicer quality like some of the other competitors but they aren't bad. A pretty good selection of food on the menu as well and pretty good service.

Surprised with how great our movie going experience was! I used to think that this place smelled of stale beer and had sticky floors. They cleaned it up nice from when it first opened. We went to see Spider Man this weekend and got the Spider-Man pizza . So. Much. Flavor.!!! The chicken was tender and plentiful. The jalapeno were crisp and spicy. The overall mouth feel was terrific which is important b/c eating in the dark can be catchy. Loved this movie. Bathrooms were clean. Seats were comfortable.

Unfortunately our visit was very disappointing. 2 adults and 2 kids $50 for movie tickets then we arrive to a hot theater. The food was not worth the money. $15 for a pizza and the sausage tasted raw. $15 frozen burger patty. The fries are good. Just very overpriced for what you get. I don’t think we will be returning :(

So I'm aware of the policies for this place and I usually enjoy coming here and I'm usually very respectful and quiet. But...on my final visit to watch the return of the king, I asked my spouse quietly about the menu as even with the lights you cannot see in the theatre and not even a few min later someone complained about me talking - movie was way louder than me and i was speaking in his ear. Legit the manager made more noise than I did trying to tell me - over the movie audio - to not talk than I did. 2 wrongs can't make a right, sure i spoke but it was barely a freaking whisper. I think ya'll should think about approaching giving people warnings differently, again the staff was way more disruptive than I was. Probably won't come back after this. Again usually I love the atmosphere but I can barely see in there.
