Not sure why I hadn't given Dos Charros a review in the past. This is probably my favorite Mexican restaurant to eat at. The staff are friendly, and recognize me with a smile whenever I come in. The food is fresh and tasty. I used to bring my vegetarian girlfriend with me - and they would make most dishes vegetarian if we asked. So they are flexible and attentive to customers needs. Tonight I got their Katherine's Enchiladas - which is 2 beef enchiladas with a spicy queso sauce. It also comes with a beef fajita taco. Another favorite of mine is their Chile Rellano.

We went with a friend as we dont live in Richardson and we were not impressed with the quality of the waitstaff or the food. What was the most surprising was the small portion sizes compared to the prices. Nachos that came with 8 chips the size of a Tostito Corn Chip with beans and cheese were $10.00. My burrito was a six in tortilla with ground beef, cheese, lettuce and chili topping and was 14.99. My 10 year old had a soft taco and it was 4.99. Frankly, the portion sizing was that of Taco Bell and had a comparable taste. I won't go back, even if it is with my wife and her best friend.

Great little hole in the wall TexMex place. I've been coming since I was a kid. Its a great location, the wait staff is fun and friendly, and the food is lovely and cooked perfect every time. Will always be my favorite salsa.

When we tried this place for the first time about a month ago, we were warned going in that they had run out of rice. While this seemed peculiar, to us, that a Tex-Mex restaurant could possibly run out of rice, we were hungry and "allowed" to substitute salads for the absent rice and so we dealt with it. And then we tried them again at 7:30 PM yesterday. This time we were stopped at the door with the staff telling us that they had, this time, run out of food. What kind of restaurant runs out of rice or out of food completely at 7:30 PM. Obviously, it is the kind that is very POORLY managed, owned, and run. We will never again waste our time or money there .

Dos Charros has excellent margaritas and spicy chicken fajitas. The service is very fast and friendly. Family owned and the love shows. Great place for Tex mex if you are in the Richardson area!
