Love when I stumble upon the organic grocery store while wandering through a town I'm visiting. Great bulk selection. Good sale prices. I got all the fixins to make my delicious homemade popcorn (bulk organic popping corn, Dr Bronners coco oil, spirulina, turmeric pwdr and Himalayan salt) all for under $10. And awesome juice bar. I got the Serious Greens and was deliciously hardcore. Friendly staff. Interesting sign in bathroom.. 🤔

It's my local health food store. I'd love it to be my only go to place, but they either don't carry what I need or they're out of it constantly. Their supplements area is incomprehensible. I always need to ask for help there. The one in Woodstock always has someone to help you, as does Mother Earth. This one used to be user friendly but no more. And it's cold flu season and they cannot seem to get elderberry/zinc lozenges in stock. A no brainer that has sent me elsewhere. Come on! I want to be your most loyal customer, but you are always out of something I need and I have to go elsewhere. Never happened when I lived across the river and went to Sunflower there.

Great healthy prepared food selection (baked, marinated gf tofu, super yummy for $2!) and good coffee. Kind and helpful staff. Tip for guy looking for a place to stock the olives: put them by the register or with the refrigerated prepared foods. They make a good snack alternative to sugary snacks or less healthy chips.

Great selection of organic produce and food. They also have a cafe in the back but the food is Not as good as it used to be ... The previous cook ( a lovely man from California ) was top notch, and his breakfast burrito was so delicious ! I had one today ( different cook ) and it was bland and boring. The people that work there aren’t that friendly, but it must be an upstate NY "thing"....

Terribly overpriced even for this area. Often their produce sale items are on sale because they're spoiled and I end up having to throw them away. Staff is demoralized resulting in a rapid turnover. Store is poorly organized so, for example, breads are in two places at opposite ends of the store. They're the only health food store in the Rhinebeck area which means there's no competition to keep them striving to improve. Grateful that we have even one health food store, but wish the overall work/service ethic here were better--more on the part of the management than the staff.

Back in the 1970's we always shopped in the original Woodstock store. We used to Camp and Backpack when we came up from NYC. So exciting to find the Rhinebeck Store 40yrs later now that I live in the Hudson Valley. Always a full variety of natural heathy options from spices, oils, grains, local dairy and nondairy products vitamin & herbal products, personal care, fresh veges, fruits, grains and cafe. great prices. Helpful and accommodating knowledgeable staff. Support the Local Community. ♡

Run-on sentence alert for a story about two employees standing in the refrigerator section: When I cool your heels at the checkout counter and two employees see me standing there (while a third stocking shelves ignores me as he passes by), and then I seek and find the well-hidden bell to request assistance, after which the girl responding acts as if I have interrupted her life-or-death-conversation with her fellow employee and finally deigns to complete my transaction with a surly look and a curt "thank you" shoving my chance back at me . . . I think to myself yes, I am going to say something. I can get that at Stop and Shop, but since they monitor employee behavior, it actually rarely happens. The world is full of unnecessary rudeness. I don't need it on a sunny, warm Monday morning, or any other day of the week. Customer Service is an art not to be taken lightly. When I give my money to a business, I think my transaction should be handled politely, and quickly, because I can easily spend my money elsewhere. I could let this go, but you know, I am simply tired of being treated as if my business does not matter. This is not the first time. When you ask for reviews, not all of them will be wonderful, but if we all chalk it up to "someone having a bad day" and you don't hear about it, you can't fix it either. If you can't fix it, then how many others will feel as I feel this moment and simply go elsewhere? Or decide to shop online and avoid negative human interactions altogether? I can actually go directly to the many farmers in the Rhinebeck area. Less convenient? Sure, but those farmers understand the importance of good relationships in the community and I make sure they benefit from receiving all of the proceeds of my transaction. Something to consider.
