I feel like all chain restaurants let me down eventually. Once that happens, the only thing that brings me back is if someone I want to eat with insists on eating at one of their locations. That's what happened here. I loved Cafe Rio when i first discovered it on a trip to UT about a decade ago. They eventually arrived in my former home state of WA and, as many good restaurants do when they come to WA, their quality and service took a pretty pronounced plunge downward. I rarely have eaten there the past several years but I was in town dropping a couple of my kids off at school and I had the opportunity to grab lunch with my cousin who was there as well. She wanted Cafe Rio and I agreed to meet her there. All it takes is one good experience to bring you back. It's happened with me so many times with Red Robin, I've lost count. I think their recent decision to get rid of my favorite burger and the fact that I no longer live in the state of their origin probably signals the end of that relationship but my meal at this Cafe Rio location was very good and they may have gotten me back. The food was fresh and tasty, the service was friendly and fast and this location actually empties their garbage cans, unlike their Lynnwood, WA location. One persistent complaint I have with Cafe Rio is their refusal to do substitutions without charging you but I just ordered a salad on this visit and had no subs. I guess I'll try one of their locations in my new home town in NV and see if the quality holds up but these guys are a credit to the organization.

Normally this place is super good but for some reason today, I picked up my online order and I had a different experience. My tortilla shell is literally a chip, it’s stale and hard, and I specifically asked for things to be removed (due to allergies) and they added them. Little disappointed.

Been here a few times with friends. Honestly no complaints! The restaurant feels authentic and has that similar vibe with all of the other Cafe Rio restaurants. You can never go wrong with the sweet pulled pork. 👌 After my dad & mom would go out on date nights their pay for me was whatever the leftovers were to whichever restaurant they went to and Cafe Rio NEVER disappointed me 🤤

Took 30 min to get to our order in spite having a lot of staff. They made less than 10 dishes ahead of us.The workplace was filthy lids were covered in remnants of dried meat and ingredients were crossed without care. I selected burrito and got my beans and rice, I asked for beef and only then was informed that they were out. I only like their beef I don’t like their other meats. The guy went to serve pulled pork before even asking me what meat I wanted and stopped just before plopping it on. He asked if I would prefer steak as they were out of beef. He did not tell me that the steak price is more than the listed burrito price. He put a pitiful amount of cheese on the burrito before wrapping it up. I asked for mild sauce after the first scoop I told him just a little bit (I forget people typically like a lot more than I do). Then he put another scoop on anyway. Finally the actual quality of the food, the rice is undercooked and hard the beans which he said proudly were cooked today, were also undercooked. And the steak most importantly was guess what… undercooked. With such small pieces being cooked you’d expect them to get it right. I took two bites and though I’m quite hunger can’t imagine finishing the thing. I’d give 0 stars if I could Honestly if you’ve got a car drive the extra one mile down to the Costa Vida. The foods almost the exact same, so unless they are just as incompetent, it’ll taste better. Just tried to eat another bite cause I am quite hungry but I can’t stomach it it literally feels like I’m eating raw meat

An hour wait to end up with cold food that was prepared incorrectly is simply unacceptable. Where most other Cafe Rio locations nationwide are far faster and more capable at preparing dishes during a rush, this location failed to meet expectations amidst having 14-16 employees working. It will be unlikely that I will be returning to this location as it left me feeling more cold and disheveled than my burrito that sat out for nearly 35 minutes.

All I'm gonna say is my sweet pulled pork salad was a joke last time. I normally love this place but their ingredients have gone down hill for this location. I order the same this each time too and so I know when its good and I know when its bad and this has been consistently bad the last three times. I'm headed to Costa Vida next time.

Not as good as other cafe Rios. I went here and the employee who checked us out kept touching the screen and then our food. She would lift up the lettuce to see what meat and lift up the chips to see if the guacamole was on the salad. This page needs to hire better employees. The tortilla for the salad was firm and hard like a rock.

I've always loved Cafe Rio! Most of the time it is quality food and I'm very full after eating here. Sometimes there are inconsistencies in the quality of their food. When I went this last time, everything was great! But the rice..... The rice was undercooked and ruined the overall quality of my burrito. Again, love this place! But its becoming more inconsistent the more I go.
