My wife and I are from Kansas City so we are used to the best BBQ in the world. In KC, the meat smokes with the sauce on it and then you add more at the end. Sweet Heat doesn't add sauce during the smoking but the different sauces help make up for that. We've tried several BBQ joints in the north
Good food, but expensive.
Had the pulled pork and brisket sandwich. Very moist and tender. The bun was excellent. You put the sauce on, which in my book is a good thing.
Sandwich plus drink, no sides came out to 12 bucks and change.
I had the brisket sandwich. It was ridonkulous!!! So good!!! Yeah it it sort of like a slow cooked super tender pot roast and not a sliced brisket, but all I can say is wow! The poppy seed bun soaked up the juices and really complimented the meat. Can't wait to go back! Awesome sandwich!!!!
Staff was friendly and food was excellent! Can't understand the other reviews based upon my experience. This is bbq folks - not a fancy sushi lounge. Pork bbq was tasty and they have a large selection of southern sides. Looking forward to another visit.
Everything was great. Half chicken plate was very moist. My husband got pulled pork sandwich and it was very good. Even the coleslaw was good!

The place lives to its name. It's sweet. It's hot. And everything is delicious. Add the kale salad and you can indulge to your heart's content without guilt.
The pulled pork and ribs are amazing and the sauces are great! I love the Carolina Sauce!
