We were wandering around reston town center, looking for a place to eat and we ran into this spot. Everything we got was amazing and the staff was friendly and fast. The crispy chicken was the perfect, my wife's caprese panini was great and the kids cookie and muffin had them singing and hopping off their seats. It's nice finding new favorite place to eat, especially when it's by accident.
Have been coming here for many years. Incredible breakfast & brunch and great prices. Food is always yummy and service is always great, who can complain?
Pretty good food and excellent bakery items (delicious muffins and scones). I used to love their "Local" breakfast sandwich, but they slipped a lot on quality and on the quantity of meat meaning I've all but stopped going there. Their lunch line system is super-confusing - the long line is almost all people waiting for salad, but it feels like it's a line for the whole bar. Check out their daily specials on their website - they always have something new for a given day.
We recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency and we ended up eating breakfast here both days. They had great made-to-order omelets and their muesli was amazing, especially with fresh berries. I love the atmosphere and the staff was very friendly. We are out pretty much every meal during our stay and I think this place was my favorite! Highly recommend!
Community Canteen is awesome, especially for breakfast! I come here every other morning to start my day off with a made-to-order omelette or belgian waffle. There are specials everyday and pricing is decent. My go-to breakfast order is an omelette with peppers, onions, and feta cheese topped with the home potatoes and wheat toast. The Belgian waffle topped with fruit, whipped cream, and powdered sugar is also excellent. Staff and seating here are great; the only issue being line management. The restaurant struggles to effectively manage a medium-long line of customers, with the cashier/coffee bar creating a bottleneck. I've ordered coffee here several times but I can't get myself to really like their coffee. Lunch here is excellent as well, make sure to check out their daily specials!
Me and my father come here regularly, and we have a great experience every time. The omelettes are really good, and so are the muffins and the coffee (seriously, skip Starbucks, just have it here) The parking situation in RTC can be confusing, but we talked to the manager about it and he helped us figure out how to validate. Lovely place, lovely people
Everything I have had here is good - the sandwiches are great and most of the desserts are really good. They make the best plain brownies (the ones with the powdered sugar on top) ever - please don't ever stop making & serving them!
I hope Community Canteen will reopen next year with people returning to the office! I desperately miss CC for breakfasts, lunches, and desserts. Catering probably the most of all, we are seriously lacking in consistently delicious catering options.
Absolutely love Community Canteen, the staff, the food, and especially the baked goods! The staff are friendly and accommodating. The baked goods are fantastic and baked fresh every day! Not only do I cater from community canteen but I often come here for breakfast on weekends.
Love this place for the food / style of service. Been here with family several times. Omelettes, waffles, coffee have been great here. This is a reliable place that won't burn a hole in your pocket (by RTC standards).
I like their quiche for Sunday brunch. Bakery is always fresh
Shares a kitchen with Mon Ami Gabi. This is a casual affordable counter that uses the same inputs as a fancy french restaurant. Great omelette station and yogurt station available for breakfast. Pastries are out of control and tempt me on the way to the register. Large filling salad station for lunch and decent sandwiches. 10% off everything if you work in Reston Town Center (workperks). Also sign up for dining rewards and register your credit card to accumulate loyalty points to be redeemed for credit.
