Better than average. Just got some to-go food from the Tea Palace. They are in a TERRIBLE location for visibility, behind the Viet Wah grocery store on Sunset in Renton. This place is big. Main room seats 170, banquet room the same size. Saturday night at 7pm I was the only one there. They have a bar but not separate from the main dining area and no TV (probably since it's effectively in the main dining area). Atmosphere is not what you will get here, big and open but very friendly staff. I ordered chicken wing appetizers (HUGE wings, crisp, flavorful. I've had better but they were very good. I've never had bigger), Duck soup (great flavor. Was warned that there were bones in the duck. They must have too many newbies or are afraid of anglo's, the bones add SO much to the flavor), Pepper Flank Steak (everything quality and fresh). Got the shrimp/pork fried rice. Good quality, didn't look like last night's left overs. Tasty, I added soy. Better to get it a tick light on salt/soy than too much - diet and personal taste matter. Got the seafood meatball appetizers also and liked them. It also came with another soup, haven't figured out what it is yet. Veggies & broth. Just needs a tick of soy and good on them for letting you make that call. Price is normal, Thai on Highlands is in front of them and they do a nice job also, similar prices. Pho House in same parking lot I give a 5. Lots of choices in one parking lot. I would give it a shot if you're close. Buy some baked products from the bakery next door also, good quality and price and very friendly and will do small custom orders (I ordered 1 loaf of extra-sour sourdough).

A for Ambience, but overpriced. We visited the Tea Palace for dinner on a recent Sunday night in February. It is a huge facility, yet receives an A for ambience and decor!

The food is delicious. It looks different than that you'd get at typical Chinese restaurants in the burbs and is divine. They have whole duck which they carve at the table and is reminsicent of the "Chinese Turkey" scene from the movie A Christmas Story, though they don't chop off the head tableside! After the meal they bring around a cart of sweet rice soups from which to choose.

In all fairness I cannot rate the service as we were warned by the hostess when we arrived that they were having a huge banquet that evening and we should allow plenty of extra time for dinner due to the kitchen being so busy.

It was, however, much more expensive than a typical Chinese restaurant, I imagine to pay for the overhead it costs to maintain a mega facility like that. I would have been happy to pay somewhat more than usual for the superior food, but perhaps not quite that much more.

Went here for Dim Sum late Dec. 2010. The place is very big very clean, but in a strange location, tucked behind other bussinesses, not visible from the street. We tried several dishes, but were too chicken to try the Chicken Feet! Maybe another time, or life! The food was very good and fresh. My only complaint would be the overwhelming smell of the Sterno Fuel coming from the carts. I don't know if someone spilled one of them or what? It got so bad the entire room was engulfed with that fuel smell, and this is a huge room, I remind you! We quickly finished our delicious food and got the hell out of there before the whole place went up in flames, LOL! Well I didn't see any reports on the local news of a fire , so I guess I would recommend this place for Dim Sum, and will probably be returning some time in the future.

We utilized their corporate event space for our holiday party and LOVED it. Fantastic environment once you get inside. Everyone was very friendly and the food was a pleasant surprise.

We come here for Dim Sum all the time. The food is pretty good, plenty of parking and since the venue is so large, there is never any wait.
