Great experience!
Renton is a bit out of our way, so we tried other Romanian restaurants/food dishes near Seattle first. This was our first time visiting Sunset Bistro, I absolutely love the way the owners treated us and the food was delicious! Although is quite far from where we live, I am actually wanting to go back, whenever I miss home!
I appreciate the authenticity and it's great that the owners are very implicated in the restaurant.
Thank you for a wonderful afternoon!

I tried the cabbage rolls and the spring salad. First the spring salad- if you love tomatoes , which were very fresh, just cut for this salad, as much as I do you will love this salad. It’s very basic, not overwhelming, the red onions, tomatoes and I little drizzle of olive oil, I put salt and pepper on mine. It’s the way I would have it at home and I like that!
Now the cabbage rolls, very flavorful, served with polenta and sour cream. The portion was the perfect size and the sauce was amazing. The stuffing inside the cabbage was spiced just right. I will definitely be back- next time I will try the chicken sandwich that another diner (a regular) recommended! If you want something different then the same thing - Mexican, American, Asian, try this place!

A true taste of the Romanian culinary tradition!
In one of my numerous travels, I had the opportunity to enjoy the delicious food served at the Sunset Bistro, and can vouch for the authenticity and the quality of the dishes served here. The bistro is "spic-and-span", and the white table cloth with the blue rectangle on the top is reminiscent of the restaurants of Romania proper. In addition, the customer service provided by the two owners, Mariana and Florin Dumitrescu, is outstanding! From the perspective of a very picky eater, the restaurant definitely got my attention. Many thanks you to both of you! I certainly hope will we meet again. ;)

The atmosphere is cozy but what impressed me the most is the food of course. The cabbage rolls were so good. I also ordered a gyro plate to go. Meat perfectly seasoned and tender. I will revisit this quaint Romanian bistro for sure!

Cabbage roll was good I also had a taste of the beef stew. Next time I prefer the beef stew with rice. Not a fan of the instant potatoes

I got take out today and this place is absolutely incredible. The dining room and restrooms are spotless and they have charming Romanian decorations around the restaurant. The food is honestly the best I’ve had in the greater Seattle area - the Sarmale (cabbage rolls) and polenta in particular are very authentic and delicious. I will DEFINITELY be returning to try more food.

Hidden gem. Whether you want something from the continent (Gyro, Schnitzel, Greek Salad, Shaorma) or want to venture a little further into Eastern Europe (Pork Steak, Stuffed Cabbage Rolls, Meatball Soup, Eggplant Salad) the food is authentic, the hosts are welcoming and attentive. Support this local business, the food is wonderful.

Never ever tried Romanian food before.
Had the #1, the cabbage rolls.
It was scary. Will I like it? Took a bite. Hmmm. Not bad. Add salt. Oh, that's good. What's this weird yellow stuff (polenta)? And the white stuff? Took a bite of the polenta. Hmmm. Grabbed another bite, put some sour cream on it, dipped it into the red sauce.
Oh, that's good too!
In the end, it was delicious. It's a great change of pace from the places I normally eat (Japanese, Chinese, Mexican, and Italian)
Glad I finally got to stop by.
