El Taco Maestro

Been coming here for a long time, tacos are really great, only this last time wherr they lacking, one of my tacos was basically all onions no meat and Im sire they charged me for an extra taco I didnt order, weird. I will keep coming and tipping here, still the best value. Always busy but worth it, give the workers a break theyre doing their best.

I think the foreigner, meaning me, got yesterday's leftovers. I can't argue they have good tacos but...tamales are $3.25 and measured just over 3" with a tablespoon of meat. Super dry. Disappointing. The sopitas was so hard, I had to use a steak knife. First and last time I ventured out from just tacos.

This place used to be cheaper (even before coivd it started going up a few dollars. This also they started making their burritos smaller as well). But now I don't go here anymore because I always end up Swallowing a chicken bone from the burritos and tortas they make. It's decent if you can't or don't want to make your own dish at home.

As you enter this establishment, the setting is very typical for a Mexican restaurant. The food was just ok, it didn't really wow me or anything. I ordered their carne asada, it tasted bland and the texture of the meat felt more like pork meat rather than beef. My daughter had the chicken nuggets combo. It was just okay. My boyfriend ordered his usual drink; michelada and that was pretty good. Maybe their other food on their menu is good but I can't say until I tried it. As of now, I will give it only 2 stars; I have been to different Mexican restaurants that are casual dining and this one by far was the worst. Taco bus carne asada is better than the one I had here. It is sad to say but I would not recommend this joint to my friends except maybe to drink.
