Batch Cupcakery

Incredible local bakery. I’ve always enjoyed whatever I’ve had from Batch but since my son’s recent diagnosis of a gluten sensitivity I’ve come to appreciate their unique offerings even more. If you or someone you love is gluten-free, paleo or vegan, you really should check out Batch and try like everything! 😊

Today was the first time I went into this bakery. I appreciate that it is a local bakery however, when I ordered 2 cupcakes that I paid $8.50 for I was expecting a great cupcake. Unfortunately the cupcakes were very dry and the same was for the outer part of the frosting. I'm hoping it was just an off day. 😞

I hate writing bad reviews to local shops, since I am all about supporting local shops and loved the idea of having a vegan backery! But I am terribly disappointed in this backery. Been a member since 2013. I have seen a huge derail in moral and no PR service in the last couple of years. I placed a cake order a month in advance for my kiddo. My cake was never completed because the staff had lost my cake order amongst a pile of papers and a long 4 day holiday weekend. I found out the day of my pick up day that nothing was done! I was then promised it would be completed and to come back the next day. I decided to give it a second chance, since things happen. I then called later that evening what time I could pick my cake up for the next day. Once again I was told there was no order for a cake and to email the owner. Which I did and not empathic about the situation. My kid was left without a cake and that's the reason why I am now writing this review. I am hoping the PR improves so people don't have the same experience of frustration like I did.I understand the Pass was not available for your Baker, but what you're not understanding is that there wasn't any communication between the staff or yourself to relay that to me. So I made a trip and had no cake. Communication is always key!
