Not crowded the day we went in. I appreciated the overwhelming menu options, as well as the pictures on the walls. We ordered the same thing lacking one enchilada. I am from Texas, eaten Tex-Mex and authentic Mexican foods all my life. I have been disappointed more often then not in my endeavors, from California to Washington, not a thing. As I write, I was almost reminded of my childhood while eating, for that reason I must recommend this restaurant.
We stopped here from California and was probably the best Mexican food spot we had there in Reno. The micheladas were so good we ordered seconds. Everything was very tasty and yes was a little pricey but they had big portions for every plate! I love how the elder man was walking around making sure everything was clean and that everyone was satisfied! Such a great little spot that is very busy and you might even have to wait to sit down and eat but its worth the wait!
I m visiting Reno , i live in Seattle, Love the tacos , reminds me to Taqueria El Farolito in Sanfran , service was good, very friendly staff.

The food tasted great and cooked perfectly at reasonable prices. Only thing the restaurant itself was outdated.
Way better (and significantly cheaper) than the over-priced casino food across the street. But what really stood out to me was the authenticity. Great little place.
Not from here, but end up here the last 3 or 4 times i have been here. I haven't been upset or disappointed about ending up there any time so far.
The Food here is delicious! It has been consistent each time i have visited. They give you a generous portion of food, as well. I like to get several different items woth my family and share them all because i am too indecisive, and everything is so tasty.
Delicious food! Great chips! A little too pricey, but it was good food. And owned by a man who has a lot of pride in his home region of Jalisco.
I had the super quesadilla ($12) which was pretty big and came with chips and salsa. They gave us 10 salsa containers for our two bags of chips. The chicken and carnival were both very fresh and flavorful.
Green salsa was good, but a little spicy. I wasn't a fan of their other salsas. An OK Pico and a spicier orangey red salsa.
Decor is all roosters with a giant framed image of roosters fighting. And there is a nice painting of the owners father with his rooster (I believe).
