So this is the first time ive ever had mexican food and didnt die of excessive salt intake immediately after. The food portion size was decent and seasoned well. I ordered the la gringa original taco dinner which includes two tacos with either chicken steak or beef and lettuce,tomato, pico de gallo , sour cream. All the taco dinners include rice and beans on the side for 10.95. As a starter you get chips and salsa. If you go i suggest you order the sidral authentic mexican apple flavored soda. This is also a great pregame spot for college students since there is a fully housed bar here. Overall its a cozy little authentic mexican spot. Great for all ages. Street parking available. Bathrooms are clean. Staff is knowledgable about the menu and friendly.
I love this restaurant! My first trip was with a friend for dinner, and both food and drinks were excellent. I had a very simple dish -- a Mexican burger, which is one of those entrees that can hit the spot anytime, with the possible exception of breakfast. Given the tastiness of the burger, I hope to graze my way through all of the culinary offerings. The staff was great, the ambience quite mellow, and frosty drinks like frozen margaritas are out of this world. Stop by -- it's really worth it. Do lunch. Do dinner. Don't miss out on an excellent restaurant and bar.

Taco Tuesday is amazing but we usually go other days to avoid the crowds.
The tacos are superb but my favorite is the fish entree with rice and beans. It’s made in a lemon sauce. And it’s great.
The staff is extremely friendly and the food doesn’t take long.
I recommend this place and you won’t be disappointed with anything on their menu.

Stopped by here with a friend and was very happy I did. I had the signature tacos which were delicious. I have never had plantain on a taco before and I have apparently been missing out this entire time. The portion size was big, the tacos came with rice and beans. Everything tasted fresh. Pricing was very affordable. Service was great. I have no complaints. Would definitely recommend.
This was one of the best places I've ever been! From the minute you walk in you can feel this positive wow vibe.From the whole layout of this joint to all the colors and paintings and the beautiful wood table and counters were just amazing. The food was just so good, and nothing like i ever tasted before. You can tell when they made it they put their whole life and culture into it. I still tasted the food after a week. A Very friendly and positive environment with lots of smiles. I love Queens and if you are definitely around there check them out!
Decent food, always treated well here. Could use some minor improvements. Black beans are smokey and spicey vs fresh, portions are a little small but Americans are gluttonous beasts. So it's really not bad.. one of the best old fashioned drinks I've had in weeks.
Good ambient with friendly staff. I had a small or big issue with my dish. (Pulled pork meat) . Which happened to be too salty. We address this to the manager and they offer a new dish by choice. That was nice gesture.
One star less is for the prices. Expensive in my opinion.
I love this place. I have been coming here for quite a while now and I consider it a hidden gem in our neighborhood. Great servers, great food and decent price. You will definitely enjoy yourself here. It is also a family friendly and atmosphere if you have kids or a large family.
I been to a lot of restaurants in the Queens area due to the multi cultural environment and i must say that La Gringa was definitely a place i would always remember. Everything about this restaurant was original. From the wall design, tables, Mexican culture to the food they served. Friendly and upbeat staff. Prices are great and well worth it. If your going to go you can do it alone but i suggest bringing family and friends that will make it a beautiful experience..
