We chose this restaurant based on the reviews, and it did not disappoint. Sensational food. Highly recommend the ravioli topped with lobster vodka cream sauce. Excellent service!
I love supporting this family owned establishment. Dad in the kitchen, mom making pastries, sons and cousins working the front of the house. Beyond that, the food is superb. Calamari Dore my favorite, but, according to others in my group, the pasta and meat dishes are stellar. You'll get the wine you want because the service is customer centered. My friend tried one wine only to discover it was not the taste she was looking for -- the waiter offered another for her to taste and she liked it so he brought her a brand new glass with her preferred wine -- no muss, no fuss -- just straight up good service. Parking is a short block away. We drive from Sunnyvale and consider the trip well worth it. I envision many revisits in my future to try out more of the menu.
One of my favorite Italian spots in the bay area. You can't go wrong with any of the appetizers. We usually get scallops, scampi, and clams. Their pastas are cooked perfectly and you have a great selection of rich sauces. The vegetables are bright without being overpowering and there's a large selection of wines and mixed drinks to go with your meal. Free bread is both delicious and filling, so we usually don't have enough space left for dessert. All the staff is really friendly and you can choose from indoor or outdoor seating.
Look at that chocolate martini! So good to finish dinner on the patio on a warm spring evening. Sole with lemon and capers was an excellent light supper. We had three attentive staff take our order, check on our progress and tempt us with dessert. Creme brulee.
I would give 10 stars if I could. Amazing customer service, awesome food and delicious cocktails
Vino never fails to impress! Calamari was beyond delicious last night! Perfection!
Clam appetizer and Risotto with chef's choice of fish. The appetizer was good. Lots of clams, both with the shell and without. A pink sauce with tomato chunks. Next time I'll try something different.
The risotto had 4 perfectly grilled shrimp, chunks of fish, veggies, mushrooms, and more. However, I couldn't really taste a risotto, more like a rice dish. Good but not what I was expecting.
I also tasted my wife's side plain risotto. That one was very cheesey and very good.
Service was great. I'll try it again.
A quiet Tuesday evening with exceptional fine dining experience at Vino Santo Bistro. Our waiter was very detailed, however friendly. And the food options were satisfying, perfect portion sizing starter dishes: Calamari, Scallops and Bruschetta as well as flavorful and tender! I had the breaded eggplant with asparagus for my main entrée!
Delicious dinner with my wife last night. Everything was delicious. I especially enjoyed the pear appetizer and the kale salad
