Nice people, good atmosphere, and decent coffee. I always feel well served here, and the crowd it draws is totally mixed (first sign to me that coffee at any spot might be very good). It can get really loud sometimes, but that's never been a reason to avoid it. Have met and made friends there several times because it's just a very friendly atmosphere.

I've only been here once, but I will be back! In the Redding heat, it's nice to be able to go in and get a nice cool salad, freshly made, as well as a fantastic sandwich. This is not fast food by any means, so allow about 15 minutes for your meal to be prepared. The amount of food that you get for the price seems like a very good value to me. I got a half sandwich and half salad, and I was pretty well stuffed. I am not a petite eater either. The tables are generally smooth with a nice lacquer finish. However the table that we sat at just to the right of the door as you exit seemed to be quite sticky, perhaps because the lacquer was peeling, or heaven forbid it was just dirty. If you leaned against the table or put your hand on the top, your clothing would stick and your hand would peel away from the tabletop. It may sound worse than it actually was, and I'm still giving 5 stars because the quality of the food was that good.

I love this place (and I don't drink coffee). They have amazing sandwiches and salads, and my favorite strawberry chiller drink. The atmosphere is great indoors, but the little outdoor patio is nice too! It's right near lots of shopping and centrally located off I-5 North. Giving four stars because I've been trying to place a to-go order, and the phone continues to ring with no answer (I'm up to seven times calling back to back during the middle of the day on a Monday). I called another local business and got right in, so I will be going with the place down the street that wants my business.

The issue I have with Madayne is there's no consistency. You may find the food excellent on one visit, and then just mediocre another. I get the same drink every time I visit and it is a 50/50 shot on whether or not it will taste alright. It's frustrating because I WANT to love it, but just never knowing what kind of quality you'll get from the food and drinks is annoying. Also the service is sometimes very quick and friendly, and sometimes just downright rude. So it's a risk any time you go on what kind of experience you're going to get.

This is my go to destination after a trail run or a motorcycle ride, when I want good coffee or to show a friend how cool I am for knowing about this cool trendy place. I always get a wrap and tater tots with French fry sauce and coffee. I love these things so much, I can't bring myself to order something new/different. I would suggest trying the brownie because it is the chocolatey-est most gorgeous thing ever. But I won't, because I would hate for people to rush in, taking my advice, and get the last brownie before me. So avoid the brownie but try EVERYTHING else.
