The chicken fried steak is very good. The vegetables and mashed potatoes were fantastic too. Very friendly staff and a nice quiet atmosphere compared to most of the other Red River restaurants. We will definitely be back each trip from now on.

This is a small fine dining restaurant in the Lifts West complex. It boasts a regular menu plus nightly specials. Service was good and the atmosphere is intimate. The food was excellent. I had the Fried Catfish and the wife had the NY strip. Be prepared to pay though, prices are high. A great place to eat in Red River.

We have been traveling Angel Fire and Red River for a few weeks and this was the best food and service we had. My man is lactose intolerant and Benjamin went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect. Because we didn't want a baker we ordered the fries with the prime rib (seared in duck fat!) and they were the best we've had in a long time. The escargot was delish and their homemade bread with hunks of garlic was yummy. Thank you Benjamin for taking such good care of us.

The pictures saved here are quite old. Menu prices are a good bit “taller”. Really good food. The mushrooms are probably the best we have ever eaten. The seafood “feast” was quoted at $275. No reservations … a bit interesting at sign in. There were some who arrived after us who were seated first. There were some seated after us that got their food first. Confusing but … as stated above … really good food … we will be back.

We came in with a large group. Everything was good. We got the escargot, and they were great. We split the prime rib and baked potatoes. The prime rib was good but pretty high priced . I wish I had tried the seafood special they had going on. Some of our group did and said it was amazing. We will try again when we are in town

Very good experience. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Prime rib we ordered was on par with most any high end steakhouse. Tasteful wine list. There were 3 of us for dinner and if I recall correctly the bill was around 220 with all of us having prime rib, an appetizer and a bottle of wine. Glad it was on the first floor of our condo complex because I left happy and swayed my way back upstairs for the night. Overall first class dining and we will certainly return on our next trip. The included picture is the balcony view of our condo which was directly above the Bistro. ******* I just read through the other reviews going down a little ways and I came back to edit my comment. I'm not sure if the reviewers had already had bad days going when they came upon Brett's or what but I will say that Brett Ruth and the entire staff were tremendously accommodating to us and it was almost closing time when we showed up. I would give little or no credibility to most of the negative reviews I read about this place. My experience says to me that those were gross exaggerations. Put this place on your Red River must do list.

Fantastic food. My spouse had the special which was filet of elk tenderloin. I had small filet mignon. We had fri3d oysters and an extra skewer of grilled shrimp Every darn bite was absolutely delish. "MIKE" was an awesome server. Other customers looked happy. I saw lots of delish pasta dishes and sauteed yummy mushrooms passing by too

The fried oysters are delicious!!! I loved the fresh flowers on all the tables. The lamb is the best I've had in a long time. We also had the Scallop linguini which was fantastic. Our server (her name started with P. I'm terrible with names) was wonderful. We had the bread pudding for dessert and it was amazing too.
