The Green Barn Whiskey Kitchen

Went to Green Barn prior to re-model/ownership change and thought we would give it a second try. Food was good both times. I didn’t see much difference in the decor except for some neon and pictures. Menu looked like the same items. Once again food is not the downside of this place. Really noisy and not in a good festive way. Sat for 14 minutes before our server noticed us. Only asked for one specific change on the menu and that was NO tomatoes on the salad. When she arrived with the salads she made a point of repeating the “salads with no tomatoes “. -see pic attached. Baked potato’s came with half of the listed toppings. Saw the owner walk through and he seemed oblivious to the poor service of the evening. But based on the other reviews he’s replied to l, I’m sure he will have something to say now.

Just moved to the area and wanted to try the place out. Staff was not even close to what I would consider friendly. The advertise "craft beer" by sell nothing but AB and ome Sierra Nevada beer. products. Nothing local from any norcal breweries besides Sierra Nevada pale ale. Ordered the ribeye. Girlfriend ordered the filet. Both ordered medium rare. I got a baked potato. She got mashed potatoes. They offer "house bread" which is nothing more than a toasted piece of white bread with butter. Salads came out. My ceasar was very good. Her green salad was covere in onions to the point I could taste nothing else but onion. When the steaks arrived, mine was cooked well done and was almost dry to the touch. No seasoning. No butter. My potato was chewy and tasted like it had been sitting in a warmer all day. My girlfriend steak was also overcooked, very dry and no seasoning at all. Her mashed potatoes was maybe a 1/3 of a measuring cup and came with no gravy. Would not recommend at all. Not sure if they were having a bad day or had new cooks but I have had better steaks at Applebee's. Very disappointed.
