We won the dinner for 2 from Hot 93.1 and I don’t know that I would have tried on my own because I wasn’t sure about the food. Thanks to you and Hot 93.1 we were able to find out about that food. I’ve been to fancy restaurants and the food was ok. We went to Kol Saturday night and I was blown away. The staff, the food, the drinks everything was so amazing! Every bite I took was a piece of heaven! I just couldn’t believe how amazing and delicious the food was! I will be eating there more often! Everyone should give you a chance, they won’t regret it!
Finally an interesting Sunday Brunch Menu in Rapid City! I had delicious chicken and waffle sliders with the yummiest syrup. Korynn had to die for Nutella French Toast, and Thomas had Brussels Sprouts with bacon. Even the kids’ pizza was good. Thank you Kol for giving us some different and delicious choices!
Absolutely one of our best dining experiences. The wait staff were everything you expect of a top notch restaurant. The food was phenomenal. Definitely put Kol on your to do list. Caleb was our awesome waiter.
What a great find in Rapid City! It is listed as a "pizza restaurant" and sure, it has great pizza, but it is SO MUCH MORE. Wonderful, flavorful food selections, very fresh and innovative. Range free chicken from local Hutterite farms. Great decor. Reasonable prices. Highly recommend.
This place is (kool). I had the roasted half chicken and bulleit old fashioned. Delicious. I love the open kitchen design and somehow you actually can't hear the kitchen, even though it's in full view of the floor. Service was great. I had several staff checking in on me even though I was at the bar.
We found this gem in downtown Rapid City. It was recommended by some locals so we tried it for lunch. Everything was great. I had the pear and fig salad with a beef and blue sandwich. Delicious. My wife had the street tacos and some bruschetta. Both were so good. Hats off to the crew there, they knew what they were doing, the server knew the menu without having to go check with the kitchen. The decor inside was impressive as well. We'll be telling everyone we know about KoL.
I came after 5 on a Tuesday so least to say that there wasn't much business. I had the table side smores. It was lovely. For a first visit I had a good time. The atmosphere is great and the staff is nice. Particularly Nate. Good man and made sure I was taken cared of but also kept at a good distance as to not disturb me much. Thanks Nate
If you’re looking for a great cocktail to complement the smoke of your dish, try the Spicy 50, but substitute mezcal for vodka.
The scallops are nearly perfect, but could use a dash of color and crunch. Maybe a few slices of radish would kick this app into the stratosphere.
The steak is hearty and cooked to the perfect temp. I’d be willing to put the greens up against any other establishment outside the Deep South. If the potatoes were a little more fingerling and a little less hotel-breakfast-bar, then the whole plate would be the best but of beef in Rapid City.
Overall, I was impressed. Kol is an object lesson in what a small city can offer to a gourmand.
We are vegans.
Sometimes finding foot out on the town can be challenging.
However, as co-owners of Graceful Touch massage therapy we find ourselves hungry on a frequent basis.
This day was no different.
In looking at the menu we almost opted into going somewhere else.
But then our friendly waitress (and I cannot emphasize the word "friendly" strongly enough) suggested doing one of their hors d'oeuvres as our meal.
Will it be enough?
Would we need two?
We were advised that one would be more than sufficient.
Guess what.
He was right and we were as pleased as punch.
That brings us to say, if you are looking for a great restaurant with amazing service you need to check this place out.
Super modern decor that is somehow still welcoming and comfortable. Professional, attentive staff though you'll need reservations for Fri or sat. The small bites on a stick meal is meat cooked kebab style, with your choice of sauce and side. The tritip was a little tough, but that's tritip. The roasted veggies were wonderfully seasoned and cooked perfectly (mushrooms tomatoes and squash with onions). Chimichurri sauce was underwhelming, but a bit of salt did the trick. I'm a little salt crazy anyway, so it might be perfect for normal people.
The star was dessert, hands down. You have GOT to try the smoked Smores panna cotta. Omg. The best thing I've ever had.
Definitely date night material, but it can get a teeny bit pricy. 15 for a small meal, 20+ for the generously priced entrees. But worth every penny!
