Not Your Average Joe's

I came to this establishment with decent service, and asked for a take out order for my 88 year old grandmother. She asked for a simple grilled cheese with tomato soup. I received this, and untoasted cheese “sandwich”, on what looks to be cardboard slices of bread. I’m absolutely insulted that the chef served this to us.

Have always liked Joe's...nice, relaxed atmosphere and good staff, along with very good food. Their dishes are not necessarily for everyone, as they lean a little in the "outside the box" direction...most people will easily find something they like, and many others will be thrilled with the offerings. Also have the best carrot cake I've ever had, as well as a peanut butter ice cream pie, called the "peanut butter thing".

Service was horrible, Bennysha never checked back on us after food was dropped. Had to ask the host for ice water. Waitress literally brought food to the table with her 3 inch finger nails literally touching/inside of my dinner. Disgusted by the service my family received here. Drinks and food are overly priced, mediocre, and horrible. matter of fact do not order anything that includes fries as they will give you a LOAD of end of the bag fries. This place was an absolute mess. Keep looking.

I used to go here all the time for lunch but the last 2 times I went were awful. I always ask for gluten free stuff and they served me stale gluten free bread and then gave me pasta with gluten in it. They noticed it before I ate it and corrected the problem so I let it go. I went back today they charged my card 3 times for 1 meal. Bartender was very unapologetic about it and I attempted to correct this prior to her charging my card for a 3rd time, but she charged me again. Very strange experience. Will never go back.

Do not eat here ! The food is terrible and the service is subpar ! My husband ordered a burger and fries. He had to send back his fries because they were so unbelievably SALTY! He asked for a new batch of fries with NO Salt and they gave him a fresh new batch of fries which were just as salty as the first batch. He asked to take the fries off of the bill and our server said “well the fries are basically free already with the burger so they don’t have their own price “ …. WHAT ?? I ordered the Jambalaya….they didn’t even give a good attempt at making jambalaya!! They literally gave me chicken, sausage and shrimp drenched in TOMATOE SAUCE with a side of rice. There was absolutely nothing ‘Cajun’ about the dish. We were both so disappointed especially since we have been wanting to eat here for a while. Needless to say , we will never go back !
